la paix, l'amour, l'espoir

Sorry, I felt I needed to get this off my chest...
I wrote this after I saw a homeless man in the street asking for help (i'm guessing he was in pain) and a bussiness man walked right past him without so much as a glance at the poor man. Sounds cliche` i know....but it really did happen.

Isn't it ironic that manslaughter is really just mans laughter?
That we never see the bigger picture,
But are focussed on all the unimportant details?
What is it that we think we will achieve by sending troops and bombs to people of hatred and anger?
We don't stop to smell the roses or miss others enough,
We are selfish and don't seem to care for anyone but ourselvs (the most important person),
Greed over rides all good and the indulgance we allow ourselvs becomes a drug,
Then we're left with nothing,
And who's to blame but ourselvs?
Ever heard the sound of tears,
Or mans demonic laugh?
Ever seen the inocent die,
While the convicted walk free?
Ever smelt buring flesh,
Or the stench of boiling blood?
Ever tased the life of the rich,
And the horrid greed it brings?
Ever touched another human,
Just to lend a hand?
Think of selfless deeds and you'll see,
We don't care enough,
Think of all the torment and realise,
We're to blame,
Our actions destroy homes,
Tear familes apart,
So lets put an end to all the suffering in the world,
We can all do so much,
Our power emense,
We have the strength to change another,
Choose the future,
Be the difference between life and death,
Help one-another in the quest of one hand, one life,
Lets turn dreams into reality,
And create an army of our own.
