HELP!!

What are HTMLs? I really don't know. I don't have a MySpace so I have NO experience with computer terms. I actually failed in computer class. Well not fail, but I didn't do well.

Anyways can someone explain what they are and how ot use them to me? It would be appreciated. All I know is that it changes the way the page looks and I'm not even sure if that's right...If you tell how to work it I will love you forever! If you don't have the time to thoroughly explain if you can give me a cite or something that would be a huge help!
