What should I do?

To all my faithful readers out there, I put forth a question:

Should I do a prologue to my story, "Pride to Shame {All to Blame}"?

If yes, should it:

-be an account of Caroline's relationship with Desoto prior to the story?
-be an account of Caroline's life prior to the story, from the time she was four?
-be an account of Caroline's life after Desoto left but before the story?

Please leave your answer in my comments, otherwise I might not get your answer as I am still a lowly n00b and am therefore fairly stupid.
