Getting sick of pointless Fan Fics.

I need to rant slightly about fan fics.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I simply cannot stand fan fics. They tick me off so much. I'm not saying they are written horribly. I'm sure some are really excellent. But something about the general idea unnerves me. Few people can come up with some really unique creations. Most, though, just contain a girl (usually made in the likeness of the writer) who falls in love with whomever the author thinks is 'hot'. It's stupid and it's everywhere. I don't want to offend anyone who writes fan fics or likes to read them. I just don't see the sense in flooding the site with overdone stories. I would really like to see more original stories that are worth reading.
