I really didn't want to go. It's not "just because."
Three days ago, a student from my school was shot to death.
Apparently the gang that killed him was looking for his twin brother. Rumors started flying around that some members from that same gang were going to come looking for the other twin, either yesterday or today.
Nothing happened yesterday, but I thought it'd be safer to just stay home today. You know, just in case.
I don't get gangs, or people in general.
It's like they want any reason to hurt someone else--any stupid, little, pointless reason to kill.
Now I see why some people become shut-ins.
