State/Comment Problems (Please help!!)

So the advanced concert band, Wind Ensemble, at my school made it to state this weekend.
And is sucks and is a good thing all at once, cause it's the first time we've made it in like 20 years... but its the same day as prom and as SAT/ACT's.
And our only piccalo player, who has one solo, and our first oboe player, who has two solos, and our lead alto sax player will be gone.
And it's in Indy so it would be a 3 hour bus trip waaaay early in the morning... and...

Is it bad to be mad that we made it to state? I mean I'm glad, but at the same time... I'm kinda upset...

You know anyway of fixing this?
