So comments don't count as post counts?

Why should that make any difference on whether you enjoy a story or the writing? Since when did Mibba become a popularity contest? Oh, I have more posts than you so I am better... um... no! Last time I checked Mibba was a place to write/read stories not a place where forum popularity was important.

As a writer I appreciate any form of feedback, positive or negative. A good comment will brighten a bad day and the negative ones... well depends on the comment. Constructive critisism can help you evolve and even the simple 'that code tag on the third line is open' is a helping hand I am sure we have all needed from time to time.

We all need to feel appreciated and to know our work is up to standard and enjoyed. Personally I would hate to see mibba turn into a forum crazed popularity thing, how about you? If people stop commenting as the post won't 'count' I will be on the search for a new site.

No, I am not writing this so people beg me to stay. I am sick to the stomach at the idea that people only commented on my stories to gain a post count. That is wrong on so many levels.

Will it stop me commenting? Hell no!
