Othello, tragic hero?

I've just recently read Othello by William Shakespear and I don't believe that he's a tragic hero. A tragic character sure, but as for tragic hero, no.

He's very dramatic and VERY VERY naive, which some claim as his downfall. Also, he falls too easily into jealously, another flaw that some claim to make him a tragic hero, making it hard for me to believe in his realism, whereas a tragic hero has to be real to the audience in order to bring about the fear and pity into the play. Othello didn't seem to do that.

What do you think?
