Poetry. My main (and 97.9% of people on this site's) expression. This is just a small entry, on my take on Poetry. Sometimes poems just come to me, instantly, and i just write the words out, and sometimes poems take longer for me to work on. sometimes its just a small line, sometimes i change the whole vision all-together. Poetry to me, is like story telling , of one's experience. In every single one of my poems, each one expresses a feeling, or take i had on a topic, or experience. Such as, my latest poem, A Beautiful Lie. That one tells the ending days of what i could think of, my best relationship. Obviously, if you've read the poem, it did not turn out well. My poem Immigrant (Which i count as not one of my best pieces, I happened to experiment), was actually inspired by my Columbian friend, who happened to come to the U.S. years ago. My poem, These Words, actually explains on how I write poetry. Honestly I do have a hard time expressing my thoughts and feelings, besides poetry. Mostly when i give people explanations of my feelings, it ends up in a hodge-podge of miscommunication, and/or they may take it the wrong way. My emotions always seem to come out better on paper, then orally. Poetry has not only helped me through my fourteen years of life, but it also reflects of what I've come from, to how i got here today. I love sharing my feelings with other poets, it makes me feel like I'm not alone in the world of artistic expression. It makes me feel like I fit in somewhere on this earth. I would tell you about my main inspirations but thats in my next Journal ;D
