Fanfiction sucks.

Fanfiction is so uncreative, and takes no originality or flair at all to write. Right?

I mean, all fanfiction writers do is take famous people and make them characters.
That's all they do.

They take famous people and put them in a storyline.
They just, take these existing people and put them in an original storyline of their own.
But it's not original, because it's fanfiction. I mean, originality doesn't exist in fanfiction. Right? All they do is take famous people and use them as characters.

They put them in a storyline, and change them around a little.
Maybe change their age.
Or appearance. Occupation. Relations. Psychology. Personality. Quirks.

Everything about them, sometimes.
Make Frankie Iero a psychopath who thinks he's karma.
Make Gerard Way the tooth fairy.
Prisoners, killers, angels, perverts, demons, saviours, even just your average Joe sometimes; everything and more that can be described as the exact opposite of a band member or celebrity.

But hey; they don't change the name. So it's still unoriginal.

I mean, there might be some original characters, but the main characters are always famous. So it's unoriginal.

Right?

Original storylines
Original characters
Original manipulation of existing characters
Original setting
Original plot
Original personalities
Original dialogue

But hey! They don't change the names.
So it needs no talent.
They don't change the names.
So it's uncreative.
They don't change the names.
So it's completely unoriginal.

Right?
-----------
Consider the above to be as sarcastically conveyed as it was intended.
I'm actually quite a fan of fanfiction.

But I really think some people bash FF for no reason.
Yes, some FF is cliche. But OF can be cliche as well.
Yes, some FF is badly written. OF can be badly written as well.

FF, and I'm talking the good FF, only hold one difference to OF.
The names the characters have.

Me? I couldn't care less whether a story is OF or FF.
If a story is well-written, I'll read it.
End of.
