Inferno the Italian word for “Hell” is a part of Dante Alighieri’s epic poem, The Divine Comedy. The Inferno starts with Dante as himself going on a spiritual journey lost and confused traveling through dark woods and is stalked by three beasts. He is finally saved by the Roman poet Virgil, Dante’s pilgrim’s guide, who leads him through the seven layers of hell.
