The Triwizard Tournament is being hosted by Hogwarts this year; a competition between three European schools: Hogwarts, Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. Only those who are of age are allowed to enter into the extremely dangerous tournament. Although he is too young to enter, Harry is chosen along with Cedric Diggory as one of the Hogwarts Champions. Still, magically bound, he has to compete in the tournament. A series of tasks are given throughout the school year finalizing in a maze. Harry and Cedric find the finish line at the same time--a trophy meant to transport the winner back to the starting line. However, deciding to touch the trophy at the same time, the two boys are transported to a graveyard where Cedric is quickly killed and Harry is captured and forced to take part in a ritual which gives Voldemort back his body. Upon escape, Harry returns with Cedric's body through the trophy's Portkey to the starting line where he announces that Cedric is dead and Lord Voldemort is back.
