Oedipus at Colonus by Sophocles
The second installment in Sophocles' Theban plays shows the final moments of Oedipus's life. Now weak and blinded, Oedipus relies on his daughter Antigone to lead him through life. After arriving in Colonus, a sign comes related to an old prophecy. Oedipus knows death is imminent and reaches a catharsis about the error of his ways.
