After the death of her mother, 16-year-old Katie Greene moves to Japan to live with her aunt, as a temporary arrangement. Adjusting to a culture she used to be clueless about, while still struggling to come to terms with her grief, seemed to be challenge enough for Katie. Her survival strategy is to learn Japanese and blend in as much as possible for a foreigner student in a regular Japanese school. Enters Tomohiro, star of the school’s kendo team, a guy with an aloof attitude and a certain aura of mystery about him. He knows better than to let people get too close from him, especially Katie. Connected to the kami, ancient Japanese gods, Tomohiro still doesn't fully understand his powers and with Katie around, things go completely out of control: ink drips from his body and his drawings come to life, threatening to hurt people he cares about. When his uncommon abilities start to draw unwanted attention, Tomohiro and Katie must find a way to keep his secrets from falling into the wrong hands.
