L has put the Task Force's families under surveillance and he's decided that Light is the most interesting out of the bunch, leaving Light's father and the leader of the Task Force, Soichiro, frustrated and upset. Now with Light's room bugged with cameras and microphones, it's putting pressure on him to maintain a normal, innocent image to throw them off his trail. L continues to surprise and frazzle Light, even going as far as to reveal himself to Light with an alias at his college entrance ceremony. However, not too soon after, their world is shaken up by a brand new Kira entering the scene and Light is left to wonder who else owns a Death Note.
