Dream Job.

  • I would love to have the ambition to be a psychologist but I don't think I'd really enjoy worrying about 200 other people's problems when I can't even handle my own. I'd like to be a fashion designer but I hate sewing and I can't draw for shit. I'd like to be a model but I don't feel like being -90 pounds to fit into a dress.

There's a lot of things I'd like to be, lots of dreams...lots of things I don't really care about and know I'll never be.

  • I've given my dream job much thought, and honestly, it's not as crazy as it used to be. I want to be a tour manager or a music producer, or both for that matter. I wanna tour because I don't feel comfortable staying in the same place for very long, and my life philosophy is that I'd rather own little and see the world than own lots but only see my backyard. And a music producer because I have a very keen ear. A lot of music discussion I have with my friends (not to sound ignorant, but) aren't taken very seriously on my part because I have such knowledge on the topic of music.

But if we were looking at the unrealistic dream job, I'd die to be a model. I'm just far too short for a modelling job. Cry

  • When I was younger, like, grade two / three, I had wanted to be a teacher.

When I reached grade three /four, I decided to become an author.

Once, I had a dream about applying for a job as a librarian - and this crazy amounts of stuff happened. Confetti, people getting cups of punch and juice from the back, dancing, some old lady spinning me around. I think that was a dream technically saying that I shouldn't be afraid of working, because I remember throughout the week before that, I had been absolutely petrified of the idea of putting myself out there and getting all this stuff and problems.

Apparently, though, it's better to get a job as a burger-flipper around here. Though, then again, most kids my age (grade eleven, 16-17) can't / haven't gotten jobs yet. I can see why: I would rather focus on school more, but I doubt that's the reason why they haven't been employed...

Regardless, the career that I want the most is to become an author. I think the reason why is obvious. c:

  • Actually, I'd love to be a University Professor, preferably teaching either Psychology or American History--they seem to be my strong suit and I genuinely enjoy learning about both subjects. For the longest time I wanted to be an English professor, or even a writer--I practically prayed to be the next F. Scott Fitzgerald or Ernest Hemingway--but then I realized that I'm not very good at it, and I tend to struggle a bit in that subject and becoming an English major seems like a lot of work.

  • After really rethinking for a long time, I've decided I'd love to be a geologist. It's a science that interests me on so many different levels, and it'd be nice to know that I don't spend hours reading books on fossils and rock formation for nothing. Also the unnecessary amounts of time reading up on the different time periods of Earth and what happened within all of them. I've realised just how much the topic interests me and I'd love to really get involved in it.

  • Honestly, I think my dream job would be a television or film producer, but I highly doubt that will ever happen.

All my life, I've always had that dream of becoming a Victoria's Secret angel, but I'm not tall enough.

Realistically, I have no earthly idea what I want to do with my life, and that's one of my biggest fears. I'd love to work with young children, but I doubt I'd be a great teacher. I'd love to be an event planner, but I don't feel like I have the organization that being an event planner would require. I thought about going to grad school to become an athletic trainer, since my bachelor's is in biology and I already work for a college football team now and I love it, so that would be a similar environment.

Sigh, I'm supposed to be seeing the career counselor at my school soon, but I don't see how the could possibly help me find out what I want to do with myself if I don't even have it even close to figured out.

  • I'd love to be a famous guitarist in a band. Me and my friend were discussing it the other night: we're going to get famous, ruin our careers and attempt to redeem them by going on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!. Realistically, it isn't going to happen, but a girl can dream.

Thinking more realistically though, I'd also quite like to work in a recording studio as a sound engineer or producer. Listening to the amount of music they get to hear in their lifetimes must be amazing.

  • Above everything else, I want to be a Game Dev, Designer, Animator, anything that has to do with putting a game together from scratch I want to do. I know the training is REALLY hard and the classes are expensive as all hell, but I've had this dream for years, and I want to do everything in my power to reach it.

Also while having a writing career on the side. A private one if possible. <3 Just need to get out of school and get back into my writing Mojo. (Usually occurs during the summer)

  • My parents reckon ill work in real estate but I want to be an interior decorator. I'd also love to do freelance photography and maybe writing and/if I continue gymnastics, coach a kids group casually or part time.

  • I want to be a baker. I wanna make cakes, I just absolutely adore baking. I'd love to make birthday cakes, and especially wedding cakes. Have my own bakery somewhere where I'd sell my cakes and people can buy them and also order special made cakes.

  • I would really like to be an actress, I know, silly...

  • Either a heart surgeon or a lawyer (that would go into politics).

I grew up faster than other kids because I was around a lot of sick relatives and I realize now that I want to stop deaths. I want to help people get better. My gramps died of a heart attack so the possibility of saving someone else from dying an untimely death and stopping the pain their relatives would feel if they died is amazing.

But I'm obsessed with politics and love watching debates. I mainly watch Fox News but I try to tune into CNN to not be too biased. I listen to public radio, too. I'm an excellent debater and won the state competition.

So I'm totally split on this decision. Money makes a huge difference, because when I was young, I didn't have the money my family has now. I'm definitely money concerned. Heart surgeons make more $$ than lawyers.

    It's confusing. Sad

  • At first, I wanted to be what my big brother wanted to be, a paleontologist. But as I got older, I decided I wanted to study sharks/animals in general.

Now I'm in school to become a music educator. Don't ask how I got to this point... Hahaha... But sometimes, when life gets to be too difficult, I dream of moving to Florida to become a gator wrestler/the female version of Bear Grylls. XD

  • I'm going to be a scientist.
I'm looking at several options; astronomy, genetics, or neuroscience.
I have an undying love for all three.

  • I want to be a writer. That's all I want. That's all I love to do.

  • I want to be an aerospace engineer, rocket science in particular. I think it would nicely combine my love of machines/building things with my love of space. I think it would be optimal to be a mission specialist, like a flight engineer or science officer on the ISS.

  • I want to be a diplomat.
Although, that wasn't my first choice. I've only taken that job because it fits quite well with my favorite course: International Studies. I want to study history and the culture of other people. I don't want to just stay in one place. I'm a girl who gets easily bored.

  • I'd love to be a writer, but my dream job that is more attainable is working with animals in the wild, probably somewhere like Kenya :D
