I have so many dream jobs. My very first one was to be a WWE Diva/wrestler. Then I wanted to be a singer, dancer, teacher, in a rock band (playing whatever), artist, writer, photographer, model, any extreme sport, stunt double, movie extra, actress, graphic designer, fashion designer, interior designer, game designer, director, comedian, and one of those people who get to ride roller coasters and thrill rides. To be honest, 90% of those I still want to do xD I'm also sure that I'm missing a few

When I was very young, I had no idea what I wanted to be. When I was an older child (10-14yo) my dream job was to do what I loved, had great passion for and was often praised for - my writing and art. But I grew up and lost those passions, sadly. I still have the same need for creativity, but it just happens in the form of occasional artwork or random doodles. I lost the ability to write original stories passionately.

Now I have no idea what my dream job is, where I want to be even in 1 year's time, and work full time as a maid at a hotel. Not really what I expected or particularly wanted, but needed because trust me when I say your mental health declines rapidly when you go from doing something full-time (like study) to nothing at all for more than a few weeks. So for anyone looking at this thread for ideas, I'm sorry I couldn't inspire but I think it helps to think realistically as well as idealistically with regards to jobs. They're not easy to get these days, so sometimes you'll have to work in a job you didn't plan on working in. It might not be ideal, but it provides you with the money you need to survive.

When I was little I believe I wanted to be an astronaut. XD

Now, though... I mean, I'd love to still be an astronaut! But now my goal is to be a published author. Either that, or a web/graphic designer. Ah, hell, I'll be both, why not?!

    I have two.

One is to be an editor for longer works of fiction and nonfiction. Not like a copyeditor; I mean, doing substantive editing, working with authors on plot, development, characterization, pacing, symbolism, stuff like that. My favorite part of writing has always been editing, because to me that's when the story really comes alive. It goes from being a thing to read to being a thing to experience, all in editing.

My other job is to work on literary magazines my whole life. I currently work on the editing team for my university English department's student-submitted, student-published literary and art magazine, and I am absolutely in love with the work I do there and so proud of what we do and what we produce. I'd love to spend my life on that.

My absolute pie-in-the-sky dream job is to be the head of an animation studio and bring all of my ideas to life. I know that's not gonna happen, though, so I'd be perfectly happy to be an animator, storyboard artist, character designer, or anybody else with a hand in making cartoons. I'd be cool working in advertising or graphic design, too.

My dream career would be in the music industry but as I can't sing that little part would have to go.

I don't know what my dream job is. I'm never interested in anything that much to want to have it as a career for the rest of my working life. I guess something dealing with art would be nice though.

The only thing that I wanted to do when I grew up was to be a published author.

    "Oh, you mean a journalist?"

No. I mean an author. A book-writer. A person who tells stories and has them sold on shelves.

That had been my dream for years and years. But now that I'm eighteen, I kind of feel...I don't know, emptier. Before, I used to love sitting there and writing for hours, knowing nothing else but the page and the smell of ink. Now that I'm at this age, I had thought that I'd publish something by now, at least? Done something interesting. Had grown up a bit more or a lot more. I just feel more or less the same, but older and emptier and a lot less enthusiastic about living.

Many, you guys have AMAZING dreams!! I'm kinda jelly--- growing up I never really aspired to be anything. All I knew was that I wanted to do a job that I loved, and where I can help or be of use to people. Sort of in a 'better the world' point of view, I guess... I know; super vague, right??

The past "jobs" I've had in the past that I enjoyed, are Skating Coach and Choreographer. I still coach here and there but I don't really choreograph as of late. But I certainly enjoyed it.

If I were to be really dreamy... maybe a dream where I get to see the world. Experience different cultures and learn different languages. But aren't I being vague again??? Facepalm

My dream job is to be a writer. It's not just writing stories, but it's a way for me to express myself in ways where verbal and emotional expression are rather difficult. For the longest time, I've always ALWAYS wanted to be a writer since I got into it.

However, I don't think it will ever happen. I'm on disability income, and if I was to become a writer in the near future, they would most likely cut me off. :/

From middle school till the end of high school, my dream job was to be a writer. I was interested in being a published author, but because I knew it wouldn't be a stable career (it'd be difficult to get published, and even if you do get published, it doesn't mean you'll be successful), I decided to go into journalism to support my dream.

Now I'm in my second year of college, and I'm thinking about majoring in social work, so we'll see how it goes. XD I kinda gave up on my old dream, to be honest.

My dream is to be an occupational therapist. I found out about this career option on career day at my school, and I absolutely fell in love with it. I’ve always loved working with people and nursing them back to health-it’s the best of both worlds!

Full-time writer. I recently sold my first book to a publisher, so I've taken my first step, but I need to keep my momentum.

I want whoever's job it is to name the colours of the clothes at my company because they are so ridiculously named. It has to be the funnest job to sit around all day looking at bright purple colour swatches and going, "That's called cactus flower." XD

Future: Computer programming. For what or whom, undecided.

Currently: Frozen. Yogurt. Ultimate dream job. I'm waiting to apply until I'm 16 because then I'd be more likely to be hired and maybe my face will have matured enough so I don't look like I'm 12. I think my chances are pretty good cause there are 4 places near me that I'm considering (more like three cause one is further away than I want to go but still, three.)
