Okay, so I was at my friend's house...without my friend. But she said that I could go there because I had left my iPod somewhere in her house.

    SO.
Being the good friend I am, <--so not. I looked around her room and tried to snuff it out for drugs, which she had plainly admitted she was doing.

Finding none, I just sat on her floor and opened her school drawer and I found a cool-looking journal. I thought it was empty--which they usually are--and I began to flip through it. Instead, I found a few filled pages, saying that she thought she was bisexual.

Yeah, I'm not homophobic or anything but I'm just kind of mad at myself for doing that. I shouldn't have looked at her so-called diary, but there was no lock or warning in the front, saying that it was used, only a 'Margaret's Vacation in France'. So I assumed that it would be about her time in Paris.
But I'm still really P.O.'d at myself for looking through it. 'Cause honestly, I would be pretty mad at whoever looked through my journal. :grr:

    ----

    ANYWAYS...:shifty
    Do you have a diary?

I do. It's the only non-judgemental friend I have... Sad

I used to keep one all the time, when I was nine or ten. I sort-of had one when I was eleven and twelve, but yeah. I don't anymore.

They're a good way to get stuff out that you can't say to an actual person.

I've kept a ton of diaries, but I let them all go after a week or two.

    I do! Wow
But nothing interesting seems to go on anymore,
so I don't usually write anything.
I can't wait for the tenth.
I'll probably write like 5 pages in my diary
    on that day. :tehe:

^ I get one pretty much every Christmas.
I write for about a week, then just stop. I'm inconsistent.

I used to have some, but now I only have a notebook where I write thoughts in. They aren't private too, but often hard to understand. :tehe:

I have a journal. It's not like I confess much juicy stuff there... there's just a whole lot of thought processes and everything. I do release a lot of my inner turmoils on the pages, but to an outsider they probably wouldn't understand it.

I used to write the name in codes using the characters from one of my stories because I was so worried somebody would pick it up. I gave up on that and now I just don't give a shit and hope my family will have the decency not to be so nosy.

I was at my best friend's house and she let me read her journals... they were so interesting. (And I was touched that she didn't mind letting me read them :tehe:)

She even had a page talking about what she wants said to certain people if she is to die. One of the first things she listed was to tell me a whole bunch of compliments. XD

I used to try as a child because I thought it was pretty cool but I've stopped. I have a paranoia that people will find it. I remember in year 10 instead I just made a memoirs books with thoughts and random paragraphs. They were inconsistent and made no utter sense to an outsider. In fact my parents found it and where rather concerned because I had some really depressing paragraph about a psychopathic murderer. :shifty

As you can see. The entries had nothing to do with my life. I try to avoid that stuff because yeah, I still have a pretty small amount of trust in people sometimes. There are some things I don't want people to know about me, so I keep safe in the recesses of my mind. -shrug-

I admire people who do it though. I just suck at that stuff. :lmfao

I keep a diary. On and off. I wont write in it religiously , because half way through writing I'm like "this would be a lot easier to type"
But yeah , it's stuck down the side of my bed. It's a blue notepad with aliens on it =] Yay.
But I'm quite aware that my parents will read it. My mum especially doesn't grasp the concept of privacy.

I keep a diary, I let everything out in it, but I don't write in it everyday.

But I find it helps, but I'm sad like this.

I have two. I have an ordinary Moleskine diary where I write down important dates and things to do so I don't forget anything.

Then there's my notebook. It's not a real diary, I suppose, but I write everything in it; thoughts, poems, stories, quotes, reviews. It's not the 'dear diary' kind of diary, but I definitely think it's a good thing because all of my most important inner thoughts are in there. xD

I don't have a set routine like writing in it every night. I just do it when I get the inspiration.

Oh, and then there's my livejournal, which I love. So that makes three, actually.

I have four journals. One for lyrics, one for thoughts, one for events, and one for reminders and joy.
I don't keep a diary as in, "Today I woke up and had breakfast" because I do the exact same thing every day, and I'd hate to write repetitive literature.

I've had a few journal type books (some were just normal exercise books that you'd use for school) but I don't write in them anymore. It's interesting to look through them though and see how my interests have changed.

That's completely true! Everytime I read my old diaries I'm like "oh how could i even have thought that"
It's also interesting to see how other people have changed. Friends , who have either matured or become progressively worse.

Same. I've taken to writing my thoughts and feelings into stories. So instead of writing something about how I feel, I weave it into a story. It's harder for someone to guess it's actually about me when they read it, as they think it's simply a story.
