I've got a journal that I've been writing in ever since my first day of high school. I intend on writing in journals till I'm a senior so I can look back. :)

Does Tumblr count as a diary?

I like writing things out, but it's easier to type so my hand doesn't get tired fast. I used to have an actual journal, but my sister likes to snoop and I don't want her reading my thoughts and feelings. (I'm the type of person who keeps a pokerface through everything) So if she ever read my feelings it'd be awkward for me and her, and I'd feel disgusting that someone that's close to me read something so personal. (I don't care if strangers read about my feelings)
    I'm weird, I know. haha

I have a journal/diary. I mainly call it a journal though, but I write personal things & what-not that have gone on. I like keeping them, just to mainly remember the good experiences in my life & the troublesome times. I can look back, & reflect on them & make myself a better person from reading them, or feel better about things I've been through.
They just remind me I'm a stronger person after all of it, whether it was good or bad.

So yeah, I definitely keep one.

I use Tumblr as a diary, and occasionally my lyrics notebooks.

I have a story that's kind of like a collection of diary entries -- eventually, if it goes as planned, I'm going to wrap up with a story/chapter at the end about every entry. You can click the link in my signature if you want to know more (:

Way too paranoid for a diary. I did keep one when I was like 9. I scribbled everything out when I wrote a page so no one could read it.

I haven't written in a journal / diary for years, what put me off was the fact that my mum didn't like me having one but...I think now its a time in my life where I need something to keep my mind preoccupied, sure University is suppose to do that, but I've been wanting to write in one for a while and surprisingly, my mum actually bought me one...confusing!

I started a diary recently, not too keep my feelings written in, but because I'm afraid to forget the little everyday things in my life and I want to be able to look back and remember

I have a livejournal that I go through phasing of either writing a lot really regularly in it, writing short little things once a week, and forgetting about it for months, haha. Sometimes I start one on paper, but I haven't in a while because I feel like it's more of a risk of having someone find it, it getting destroyed, and I type a lot faster than I write (haha).

I personally don't enjoy keeping diaries or journals. It's not interesting for me to write about my day, to me. It's not therapeutic either. But putting what I'm going through into stories serves the same purpose for me.

That's awful :-/ I would just make a livejournal and set it to private, so you can still have a place for your thoughts and memories without having to worry about so-called "friends" ruining it.

I am on my third notebook. I started keeping a diary in 2009. They're all letters, written to "two dollar bill", Billie Joe Armstrong's high school nickname. I don't know why exactly, I couldn't think who else to address them to. Mostly I just state what's been going on in my life and how I feel about it. It's interesting to read back over.

I've had so many that I've started writing in but they just get destroyed. I got so paranoid that someone would read them and spaz on me so I burnt the pages. Now I just don't bother with them. I've considered buying another one but I'm surrounded by nosy pricks.

I used diaries off and on throughout the years. At the start of the year I told myself I'd write in my diary every day, but this only worked for about a month or so. The last time I wrote an entry was about a month ago XD

I don't call it a "diary", I prefer to call it a journal (I'm not sure why, but I just...do?) I suppose when I think "diary" I think those tiny little Lisa Frank ones with the pad lock you could pick with a bobby pin. lmfao

I don't make myself write in it, I just do whenever I get the notion to do so, although sometimes I'll find a great "thirty day blog prompt thing" and instead I'll do it in my journal just because...

I've always kept diaries. Basically it's something my psychologist told me to do. Writing my feelings down has always been a big deal for me especially since I have a problem socializing with people. On top of that, there are just things you don't tell others. I've never really had a BFF per say so I've been very picky with my word choices. Now that I'm older & have seen the way people have treated me over & over again, I'm much more introverted & nit picky with people. For the majority, I just name my diary something & pretend that I'm talking to her/him. It actually helps a lot c:

I used to keep a diary when I was younger, but I stopped writing down anything that mattered after my brother read it and got me sent to a therapist.

Honestly, I use Mibba as my diary. If I can't say it to Mibba, I shouldn't be saying it at all.
