What Distracts You?

If I'm looking up something particular to do with my story, I easily get distracted and branch off to other internet sites and look up pictures and forget about writing.
Also, if I go to ask my mum what word I can use cause I can't think of one, we end up talking about something completely different and I get side tracked.

I go to google one thing and then I spend three hours following links around Wiki, learning a lot of interesting yet irrelevant stuff.

Honestly, everything. No matter how much I want to write no story comes out of me easily. It has to be ripped and forced and beat into submission.
Mibba does, yeah, but Mibba distracts me from everything, including eating and sleeping and bathing, so I can't really say it's Mibba and Mibba only.
I distract myself. I'll go off thinking about something else and just totally forget about what I was writing or what exactly I was planning to happen.
Or other stories distract me. At any time I can work on like three at one time. :tehe:

Mibba's a big one. Music, family members, and the television.

My girlfriend, her MSN, my YIM, The TV. I think those are the main ones :tehe:

THE INTERNET.

Sometimes, I have to go downstairs and disable the router if I ever want to get any writing done. I have no self-control.

We are exactly the same. :tehe: Mibba distracts me from writing and doing homework except I usually need the internet to do my homework. But, yeah, the internet is a very, very big distraction.

Msn. I can't seem to help but get distracted by it. And then, Youtube. Another distraction. I can't seem to help but my mind to wander off to Youtube and just have a look at some music videos, or Danny Bhoy standups, or even Potter Puppet Pals or Charlie the unicorn!
And the other distraction I get, is things like this. I get continually distracted by reading Forums and then sending comments. So really, at the moment, I am distracting myself from writing.

The TV, definitely. When I'm on the computer, I almost always have the TV on as well, so, if something "interesting" comes on, I can't help but look at it, and then I completely forget whatever ideas I had.

It's really frustrating. omgno:

MSN used to but I just don't log in anymore.

MySpace - when people send me messages because I have the toolbar, it pops up with a little thing telling me I have one new message.

Twitter - I have a lot of Mibbians on my Twitter along with a lot of random famous people or friends I've made over MySpace and/or Twitter plus I love to Tweet with my TwitterFox

Itunes - I've gone back to using Windows Media Player for when I'm writing because my Itunes made my computer run slow.

My mum's baking - it's making my tummy rumble...

Myspace - Because my friends all like to talk to me when I am in a mood to write.
Email - I always get an email alerting me that someone posted something on FictionPress/or here and then I'll have to go read it.
Mibba - But then again, who doesn't get distracted by it.
My Social Life - Something always comes up when I plan to write.
TV - Definately when theres something good on.

To be honest, everything distracts me when I want to write. Music, MSN, Mibba, the floor, the ceiling, the posters on my walls, any and everything around me...

It's really awful. I really have gotten to the point where I just can't write.

Mibba. I'll find a topic or get posting on the OT and never get anything done. :tehe:
The Deathstars, Negative and Private Line official forums. Especially the picture threads, aha.
Livejournal, because I'll sit on the slash communities for whatever band/pairing it may be and read one, which leads to another and another... it's the cause of more than one unfinished chapter.
