Weird Things You Do Before You Write

It depends most of the time I listen to music, then make a pretty quick rought sketch of one of the main charries

^I would sketch them out if I could draw.

Lately, I've just been sitting down and writing in a notebook at school.
For some reason, the educational environment fuels my creative juices and lets me fill up pages.

At home, I sit on my bed with my laptop and listen to music, recently being classical - Chopin. - and metal, whether it be Nightwish, Within Temptation, or Blotted Science.

I always have to go through my ipod and find songs that suit the mood of my story so I can be inspired.

I always get inspired when I'm doing homework and writing assignments for school. It makes me so angry and impatient. By the time I've finished my school stuff, I have writers block again. Gah!

Wish I was in a cafe to write! They give me inspiration for some reason...expecally those homey ones.

I like to go into IHOP for lunch alone when Kristen is at school. I can usually get a couple notebook pages done in 45 minutes.

Same for any cafe.

There was this place called Mad Hatter's two blocks from Sonic. And sometimes my mom had to take me to work an hour or two early. So I'd hole up there and write. I think it's just the atmosophere.

I usually say things out loud or act them out...do some serious drama. The usual lol

I can only write in the morning or at night. Anything written during the day is never good enough to post, imo. I like to make it dark, only enough light to see my paper, get a drink (usually a hot one) and I can't be hungry. Then I put some music on, not to loud, and I lay in bed a write. :]

I think through scenarios in my head and put on some calming music. Then I make a cup of tea and some toast and banana

Sometimes I hang upside down on the armchair in our living room and sometimes I stare out my window.

Recently I've found I have to stop whatever music I'm listening to.
And drinking a hot milo gets me in the zone.

I usually daydream or think about the scenes in my head before writing.
I noticed that I was able to get more writing done when I was at school, probably because of the change in locations, and there weren't that many distractions.

Write now for my story Sugar Frosting, I find myself eating a lot of cupcakes before I write it.
I guess it does have to do with the fact that the story does mention cupcakes a lot.

I pace around my house listening to my ipod for HOURS.

So do I and I face the paper sideways so that the hole face away from me

Lately I have a very distinct pattern in most things I do, especially in writing.
I drink 2 1/2 cups of coffee.
My nails have to be painted.
My instruments have to be put away.
I usually cry at some point.
I speak aloud the first few paragraphs before writing them down. Animatedly.
If I'm having a bad day, I usually listen to My Chem for a little while.

I'll usually put on music and dance around for a bit to get rid of any restless energy.

Normally eat a cereal bar and listen to music with an appropriate theme.
