    Jeffrey Dahmer.:
Yeah, you can't ignore the cost for the families. It's not that we all are so obsessed that we want to be serial killers, personally I'm just really interested in what makes them do it. What makes someone wake up one morning and think, "Yeah, I'm just going to kill someone"?

The only way we can help is to understand.
I agree. I'd love to know what's going through their heads. I would never condone what they've done, and I feel sorry for the victims, but I find whatever goes on in the killer's heads really interesting.

    I find it fascinating.
Are they out for vengeance for wrongs done against them, or are they simply doing it for the pleasure of causing pain to another?
At least... that's how I see it. :shifty

I think they're sick, to be honest. :file: Killing innocent people is just unacceptable... Not only is the person killed affected, but also the person's family, friends, workmates, anybody they knew. It's selfish and cruel.

This is true, but WHY do they do it? Sure, there's a few of them who do it for fun, or for "kicks". But some of them are victims too, they can be victims of themselves. Personally, I think it would be terrifying to be trapped in your own head with all of these awful thoughts tormenting you, with no way to get away from them.

I absolutely love learning about serial killers.

I'll be reading about people like Ed Gein and Ted Bundy on the internet in my computer class and people are like "wt are you reading and why are you reading that?"

I'm not sure what it is, but I get this feeling when I read about or watch what happened. It's sickening in an extremely fascinating way. o.O

I do that too! Everyone reads about JLS and all that while I'm sitting there reading about Elizabeth Bathory.

It amuses me when I see their facial expressions when they see what I'm reading :tehe:

I still remember my teacher's face when they saw I was reading The Silence Of The Lambs in private study :lmfao I don't know what they would do if they looked up my Wikipedia history. It's all Jeffrey Dahmer and Ted Bundy. It's just too fascinating to ignore, even on the monitored school computers.

I'm really getting into the Ted Bundy case. He was/is the sickest man in the world. How he tortured those girls was fucking sick. But I can't help to become interested in him, he was so talented and he just threw it away. He deserved to die though. :?

Ted Bundy was a sick bastard, but I think it's hard to label any one serial killer 'the sickest man in the world.' They all have pretty sick qualities. Some ate people, some killed and raped pregnant women and/or children, others cut people up and used them as trophies.

Though, I can argue quite a case for Jeffrey Dahmer being the sickest...

There's a new claim in the news today. A 47-year-old real estate agent claims that her father, Guy Ward Hendrickson, was the Zodiac Killer. She also claims that she made the embroidered mask he used as a disguise and that she wrote the many letters that the Killer sent to local newspapers.

For all intents and purposes, I hope she's telling the truth. I've been itching to know his real identity since I heard about his case back in 2000. It's gone unsolved for 40 years, and it'd be pretty interesting to know who it really was. That way, I can start learning about him. (I like to know lots of details about the killers lives. i.e. birth date, place of birthday, family life, etc)

They're the two I'm most obsessed with. I've got this book all about Jeff and it paints a completely different picture of him. I'm not saying it excuses what he did, because nothing ever will, but it shows the sort of thing that he had to live with every day since he was about fourteen - it must have been horrific for him as well.

I sat for an hour and read all about him with my mouth hanging open in shock. It was disgusting, but it was very interesting. How did he pass off as so charming when he was murdering all these girls in horrific ways?

The movie is quite good too. It could've been a little bit better but who gives a shit. I saw it last time and was fucking disturbed when he kidnapped that 12 year old girl. Ugh I don't even wanna think about that. No

I'm not interested in them as such, but I always find the best episodes of NCIS is when they're chasing a sick serial killer :tehe:
