How long ago did you dye your hair black, and what condition is your hair in now? Dry or frizzy or split ends?

- Can you bleach black dye out of your hair without killing it?
Well, I've dyed it black once a month since November, and I re-dyed it yesterday, but with dark brown instead of black. It's actually in pretty good condition. I use a LOT of conditioner so it's not dry or broken or anything.

Well then, it would be in okay condition to bleach the black out, however, if you were to bleach it, you need to leave your recently died hair for at least a week, maybe two before you attempt to bleach the dye out.

Doesn't it take multiple times bleaching it before it actually goes white -blonde, though? I've been told that it turns your hair gross colors.

Yeah, you have to bleach it, wash it out, bleach it again, wash it out.
