    Someone, Somewhere;Asking Alexandria.
This song reminds me of me spending hours and hours on itunes looking for new music, then I found this.

    To The End;My Chemical Romance.
This song reminds me of my best friend and I listening to it over and over again last summer, that's when we were obsessed with MCR.

The Plot To Bomb The Panhandle;A Day To Remember
This song reminds me of the girl I hate the most, because of the part that says, I'll rip that scandalous bitch in two. cause that's exactly what I wanted to do to her. Also reminds me of walking around Save-A-Lot, listening to this on repeat.

First Day Of My Life - Bright Eyes: It reminds me of when I first started to fall in love with someone a few years ago.

Molly's Chambers - Kings of Leon: It reminds me of summer 2006, specifically when I'd stay up late and have Kerrang playing on the TV in the background.

The Last Time He Saw Dorie - Copeland: It reminds me of early 2010, when I was going through a really awful time, but listening to Copeland soothed me.

I'll Stay - James Blake: Riding around the lake stoned with (fuckface)

Brothersport - Animal Collective: My first time ever doing shrooms. My friends locked me out of my own bedroom to have sex and that song was playing so I layed down on the carpet and pressed my ear to the door and it was the most beautiful thing ever.

Sky Warning - James Pants: I don't really have a substantial memory for this. I remember dancing but that's about all.

    Stop - Pink Floyd
Watching The Wall with my best friend. It was midnight, I don't know. Every fond memory I have of spending time with her are strange, little things.
Good Friday - The Black Crowes
I don't exactly associate a certain memory with this, but I do think of an emotion. Fucking sadness. It breaks me heart.
    Locomotive - Guns N' Roses
Driving out of state, stuck in some cheap gas station trying to fix the car. Steak N' Shake, too.

    I'm The Rehab, You're the Drugs - D.R.U.G.S.
Going alone to Warped Tour 2011 and getting bruised up in the D.R.U.G.S. mosh pit, and just generally different bits of last summer.

Remembering Sunday - All Time Low
So much, ugh. It was Helen and my song in like 7th grade and I've loved it for the last four years or so. Lots of strange school bus rides and miserable days.

Six Feet Under The Stars - All Time Low
Wow, shuffle, wow. This one reminds me of making Paloma listen to it on the bus in sixth and seventh grade and starting to write a lot. It was the first All Time Low song I ever heard.

SOS - Mamma Mia! (The Movie Soundtrack)
Probably the relationship I have with this one guy right now. We've never dated or anything, but I really like him and he knows. Lots of people have said that he likes me too, but neither of us has acknowledged it... yet.

Story of My Life- Shrek The Musical
Reminds me of when my class went on a field trip to New York and saw the show. We arrived, went to some shops downtown, then headed over to the Schubert theater to watch the show. We were there learning about immigrants and tenements and all that jazz. We took a bus. It was so much fun.

    Yakety Yak- The Coasters
This reminds me of October Sky, the movie I heard it in. Jake Gylennhaal, West Virgina. Oh yeah, two of some of my favorite things. Also, reminds me of Rhode Island and stuff.

The Carpal Tunnel of Love - Fall Out Boy
First time I heard Pete scream, first time I'd heard of Happy Tree Friends, first time a boy totally manhandled, and as soon as Pete began screaming, he placed his hands upon me and I was like, "Oh. Alrighty, then.", first time I got the album and saw the song title and said, "Oh, my mom has carpal tunnel. What a connection." and dancing to the whole thing. Yup, lots of firsts.

    The Grouch - Green Day
When I first got the CD, I blasted the whole album in the kitchen. This song is number three. I was nine. I got the album taken away from me for, like, a month. I snuck it back and my mom simply gave up on trying to keep it away, because I whined her to death for it back.

I'm Not Okay (I Promise) - My Chemical Romance
The first memory that comes to mind is when I first saw the video and immediately after watching it, I deemed Gerard Way one of the scariest people ever. He frightened me in the close-up but, y'know, then I fell in love, whoops.

I Need To Know - Jekyll & Hyde Soundtrack
Seeing a friend playing a hooker in the musical at her schools performance of it. It's also when I fell in love with the musical.

Light Me Up - The Pretty Reckless
Walking through the shopping mall to find myself a formal dress. This was my battle song.

    Lithium - Evanescence
Seeing Evanescence in concert in 2007, the best experience of my life so far.

All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me) - Bullet for my Valentine
Reminds me of being in Italy last April when we were sitting in the car, driving to the airport, and the song partially inspired me to write this scene for the book I was working on; a scene that is now one of my favourites ever.

The Gift - Angels and Airwaves
Reminds me of last September; the first time I ever heard it. We were going out to a restaurant for my dad's birthday, and I had it in my head for quite a lot of the evening, and I just thought it was such a great song. This one also helped me to write an amazing scene for my book on that same day.

    Careful - Paramore
Reminds me of winter 2009 when I went to see Paramore live - the first concert I ever went to - and we got stuck because of the snow and couldn't get home.

My Last Breath - Evanescence: I remember being 12 years old listening to this song in my bedroom while my parents fought in the next room and completely relating to the whole album. I was a depressed kid because of domestic violence.

21st Century Breakdown - Green Day: All I think of when I hear this song, especially the opening bars, is how freaking excited I was to see Green Day in concert again and how much I couldn't believe that for the third time they were going to be standing right in front of me. When I heard the opening notes that night, my heart started pounding and I even started to cry. XD I love this band so much.

Detroit Rock City - KISS: Whenever I hear this song it takes me back to Halloween last year when I saw a KISS tribute band and was in the second row dancing and singing along with my friends.

Different (Anything At All)- Green River Ordinance: Whenever I hear this song, I think of a really good Mibba friend I used to have but who has fallen off the face of the earth. The last time he was on MSN, he was going to go see this band later in the evening. I hope he had a good time.

House of Wolves- My Chemical Romance: This reminds me of when I was totally head over heels for MCR a while back. & this was my favorite song off of The Black Parade. It was awesome when I saw them this summer & they played this.

The Unwinding Cable Car- Anberlin: This song is one of my all-time favorites from Anberlin & I can just remember lying around listening to this at any time, & to the rest of the album it's off of- Cities.

    Howl by The Gaslight Anthem
This song makes me think of the beginning of the school year when I was scrambling for ideas for my concentration in AP art class. I could totally picture the main character of the series of drawings I'm doing just dancing her heart out to this song, and I remember totally basing one of the pictures off of this song and having it stuck in my head constantly.

    Fire by Augustana
This song brings back memories of ninth grade, when I'd always listen to lo-fi indie. (Which is weird, since I don't think this song is really indie, but meh.) Also I remember a girl in my English class in ninth grade telling me she liked Augustana but their songs all sounded the same, which I agreed with. XD

    Point/Counterpoint by Streetlight Manifesto
This is a remnant of my eight-grade-wannabe-ska-kid-phase-that-kinda-leaked-into-ninth-grade-too phase. I still love this song and the gut-wrenching lyrics and I was always able to sing it at its full speed, which I'd always do when I was waiting to go to the bus stop in the mornings.

All in My Head - Tori Kelly
Well, besides it being the first Tori Kelly song I've heard---this song pretty much describes every schoolgirl
crush I've had. lolpathetic. I read too much into the acquaintanceship and was so disappointed when they
only saw me as a friend. Can't win 'em all. I was so cringey as a tween.

Shadow Moses - Bring Me the Horizon
I feel like BMTH has always been the band I use to tune the world out. I can blast their music or use it to
go to sleep (it works out pretty well, surprisingly). This song still gives me nostalgia from Off the Heezay
which used to be one of my favourites from them. I think it's so strange how people don't see me as the type
    to listen to them. Eh.

I Feel Perfect - Porcelain and the Tramps
The amount of respect I had for Alaina Beaton when she was PATT. Oh boy. I listened to this song when I was
still growing out of that awkward "I'm not trying to be scene anymore" phase. I made the transition into
more of the EDM thing, slowly, and I also moved into my kandi making time. Hand spasms from making kandi
into late hours of the night. . .classic.

Under a Paper Moon - All Time Low
It reminds me of last summer, when I woul have this song on repeat no matter what I was doing - eating, playing video games, writing, washing dishes, etc. - and carried me right to my first day of my sophomore year. It took over my life and it wa good. Also, seeing All Time Low live last year, and they didn't play this song, but still, it was them. Almost any ATL song reminds me of that glorious day.

Days Are Numbered - Black Veil Brides
I don't think I have a specific memory attached to this song other than the freaking out I did when I learned Bert McCracken was going to be in this song. I knocked over my Wii. Good day. Um, I guess it reminds me of my fifteenth birthday, when I got the album and set this song on replay.

House of Wolves - My Chemical Romance
The memories here are belting this out in the kitchen or the shower and making every person I knew ever listen to it because it's one of my absolute favorites from them. Also, wishing they would have made a music video for this song. Seriously, it needed one.

    Bikeriders - Lucero
This song is soooo tenth grade for me, but I'll always dig it. I was in a total alt-country phase (alongside my Blues Brothers phase), and Lucero was one of my favorites. I'll always associate this song with learning how to drive, and my story Soria Girl since so much of that story was inspired by songs like this one.

    Gamble - Propaghandi
Lots of things come to mind. Early eleventh grade, namely the ToK project I had to work on with three other students I had hardly ever spoken to, full of study sessions at Panera Bread. Finally getting together with my boyfriend after a length of shameless flirting. Christmastime, where me, my dad, and my brother went to Home Depot to get a Christmas tree and I was listening to this song on my iPod. I was just starting out/gathering inspiration for Who Knows, Who Cares at the time, too.

Fancy Footwork - J. Geils Band
Ohhh man, I almost wrote a story named after one lyric in this song. (It would've been called "My Rock n' Roll Shoes!" for the record.) Right around my Blues Brothers phase, I got really into The J. Geils Band, right when I was writing I Can't Hang and just generally being an unpleasant person. The story based on this song would've been a rock n' roll musical and I have no clue how that would've translated into novel form. Maybe someday it can come to fruition... XD

I think I just heard this playing Minecraft, it's one of the in-game tracks.

    Subwoofer Lullaby
Also one of the first Minecraft musics. I remember this one playing whilst I wandered around my first few nights, I remember it being really haunting and beautiful and extremely isolating to listen to as I played the game alone.

    Haggstrom
This one takes me way back to the first time I ever played the game, building rails and fishing in lakes and smelting iron and taking nothing for granted, when diamonds were optional and it was the journey that mattered. This is my nostalgia song, I love it so much.

You Know How We Do - Jay Park
lol this reminds me of the time I was singing off tune to Sarah. She got annoyed, poked a hole in her water bottle + soaked me. I did it back to her and the bus driver stopped and asked if we had gotten it out of our system and we spent the rest of the ride talking shit lmfao

None of Them Knew They Were Robots - Mr. Bungle
This one reminds me of 9th grade and summer. Bungle is my summer band + I love falling asleep to them in the sun.

    Brompton Cocktail - Avenged Sevenfold
Ahhh this reminds me of 8th grade + going on long rides to cities with my mom. We always used to listen to their self titled whenever we went somewhere.

    Different People - Biffy Clyro
Screeching the words at the top of my lungs whilst driving down the Ayr bypass with Karen on the way to uni one morning.

    Kids - MGMT
Spending a whole period of music with a keyboard so I could figure out the bass notes for a piano version that I never finished transposing, and having the teacher walk in and ask me what the hell I was doing because I'd left a guitar leaning against the door and wasn't actually doing the work I was supposed to be doing.

    My Own Worst Enemy
Trying to find another song, typing the lyrics for said song into Google, assuming this was the song, putting it on and being so upset when it wasn't.

The Backwards Pumpkin Song - Dance Gavin Dance
I always think of the summer before eleventh grade when I hear this song. This was the only song I liked by DGD at first, and I just remember totally loving this song because of the clean singing. I had listened to DGD while in the planning stages of Generation Why Bother, back way early on when barely anything was figured out. I also think of Who Knows, Who Cares since I still always think of that story when I listen to DGD.

    Heart Attack - Sum 41
Sixth grade for sure. I think I once saw an AMV for South Park with this song, actually, which was where I first heard it. Shifty That was when the South Park "fandom" (I feel weird using that term) drew everybody all anime-fied and I actually drew a picture of all the main characters like that too. Facepalm

Sugar, We're Goin' Down - Fall Out Boy
Wayyyyy too many memories with this one. XD Fifth grade, right around the time my mom was hospitalized (and when she eventually passed away), and after I heard this song, I was hooked on Fall Out Boy. Sixth and seventh grade, I was obsessed with them. Their music had gotten me through a lot of uninspired times; I wrote Spin as an experiment in storytelling since I had only written poetry beforehand. Man, this song always takes me back to when I was an emo kid in denial. So much stuff comes to mind - too much to write here, that's for sure.

Torso of the Week - Everything Everything
Man, I remember when Harry Styles tweeted the lyrics to this song a few years ago, and that was when I officially realized that he and I have a really similar music taste and it kind of freaked me out but also made me feel really accomplished haha. It also made me feel kind of closer to him (weird) because it was cool to imagine him listening to a song and liking it just like me.

    Electric Feel - MGMT
This makes me think of the first time I got stoned. We all watched this music video right after and were just laughing at how weird it was.

    Lisztomania - Phoenix
My friend Sarah and I went and got coffee one day and this was playing and we drove around town in her Jeep singing it.
