I only read Fight Club and Choke (which was so disgusting that I recommended it to everyone for pure shock value.) I wish I could get my hands on more but my public library is very covetous of his work. I always have to order it in advance from the last person and theres a fee... If someone can tell me what his best works are, maybe I'll suck it up and buy them.

I believe I was previously in this thread but I honestly don't remember when I posted. But I'm currently reading Pygmy, which is hard to understand (I know that's the point but I'm just saying) and quite vulgar but I just started reading it this morning and I'm three chapters in already.

I've read (in order) Snuff, Fight Club, Choke, Rant, Invisible Monsters, Diary, Lullaby, Survivor, and now Pygmy. I have enjoyed all of them immensely (Rant and Fight Club most of all). I still have yet to read Haunted (which I own), Tell-All (his newest), and his two non-fiction books (Fugitives and Refugees and Stranger Than Fiction). I do love his style of writing, and although he does tend to get very graphic and vulgar at times (sometimes going into maybe a little too much detail), he has shaped the way I write today. I guess I kind of enjoy all of that detail, in a way, but as I said, I do admit that he does go overboard.

Frankly, I'm really excited for the novel that's coming out this Fall. It's called Damned. Has anyone else heard or read about it, and are you as pumped as I am? Mr. Green

I wanna read Rant. My copy of Fight Club is with my cousin but I shall ask for it tomorrow. Weird I need some Tyler Durden.

Why did you find Choke really disgusting? I know there's the bit where he shits out anal beads and faeces and stuff, but I found Haunted (which I recommended you read) far far worse. I've read all of his novels and have just bought his non-fiction, and my favourite probably Invisible Monsters.

I think Rant is under-appreciated. I loved it. You chose well.

I always said it pal-uh-new-ick… Shifty
Agreed. It's my favorite but so many people seemed to have overlooked it.

Just thought this'd be the appropriate place to put the official synopsis for Damned. Sounds good, but I hope the 'marijuana overdose' is supposed to be humorous.

    lmfao It sounds amazing.
Sorta reminds me of the book Good Omens for some reason? Eh, not really. But at the part about "The English Patient playing on repeat" I REALLY wish it had Bohemian Rhapsody instead. XD

It does sound really good, only have to wait till October, eh! I hope it's more like Invisible Monsters, rather than Tell All, which I didn't think was as good.

    Chuck is my favourite author.
I started off with Diary and I fell in love with his work.
Along with Invisible Monsters it will always be my favourite.

I couldn't read Pygmy. I tried six times but I couldn't get my head around the way it's written. I was disappointed because I love the whole storyline of it. I've never read Survivor either; I can never find it anywhere.

    Favorite author ever <3

It is hard for me to find a book I really love.

Finished Hautned today, oh my. He is a genious. I have finished Invisible Monsters an Haunted so far, hopefully buying Rant or Lullaby next.

Towards the end of the book I felt sick but amazed. Like I really wanted to be outside after reading about these people being stuck in this building but I didn't want to interupt finishing it and walking outside.

Word. I was shocked by Haunted, but also not shocked. It is hard to shock me, but I also loved it.

    I'm reading Haunted right now.
Guts is just… God. WHO DOES THAT? WHO CAN THINK THIS STUFF UP? I'm only as far as Lady Baglady's story though.

Try and find Survivor. It's one of my favourites, there's just something about it which stands out amongst all of his other novels, similar for me with Diary and Invisible Monsters.

I am planning on getting "No matter how much you think you love somebody, you'll step back when the pool of their blood edges up too close" by Chuck's Invisible Monsters tattooed on my leg.

I am utterly in love with Chuck.

I love his ideas. That he can take a topic that's been brought up before but skew it so wildly that it's still completely original.
That's what I love about him, too. His writing is brilliant and well crafted. I've read Fight Club, I started Rant, I have Choke downstairs on the coffee table, and I want to read Invisible Monsters next.

    Fight Club is my favorite.

I found it and I was horribly disappointed. I tried so hard to like it and I liked the story line to it but I just couldn't get into it the way I get sucked into his other work. I actually felt relieved when I finished it. I'll reread it soon and see if my opinion changes.

I read Damned however, a week before it was released in the states and that one I did fall in love with! I can't wait for the sequel.

Has anyone read Damned yet? I saw it in the bookstore a couple of weeks (didn't buy since it wasn't in paperback yet). It looked kind of interesting.

I picked up a copy from the library... got a couple pages in, and I really can't figure out what's happening. So I put it down, waited, and tried again later.

As for all of his other work though, I love it to death, and enjoy the horrified looks I get when trying to explain one of the stories.

Invisible Monsters was the first, sucked me into Diary, then Survivor, Choke, Rant, Haunted, and I really loved breaking down and trying to figure our Pygmy.
