I fall asleep to pretty much everything if it's on repeat long enough... but my favorite would be Stars by the Swellers or God of Wine by Third Eye Blind.

Anything if I'm tired. It can be loud as can be and if I'm tired, I'll fall asleep.

Broken by the Gorillaz, makes me sooo tired and sleepy.
In fact most of their new album (Plastic Beach) makes me extremely tired.

moonlight sonata, coldplay, bassnectar (especially the song basshead). i suffer from insomnia too, i understand the whole lack of sleep thing. i feel like it depends on my mood though, the cure and the smiths almost always work for me too. however, some nights i need heavy metal to make me sleepy. haha, it just depends on the thoughts bouncin' around in your head, and how your day was.

@wafflini the gorillaz are perfect for anything. i agree, plastic beach makes me want to take a nap too. i like it, but i feel like it's not as amazing as all their old stuff. however, melancholy hill is my favorite for some reason. i usually tend to hate the songs that get videos, but that's never the case with the gorillaz.

You can find alot of bands with string tributes if that helps. Maybe Apocalyptica or some Danny Elfman. Piano music. I don't really like Classical, but that puts me to sleep.

I fall asleep to all types of stuff. But a lot of the stuff that really puts me at ease is..

    Tori Amos.
    Bjork.
    Nouvelle Vague.
    Imogen Heap.
    Silverchair.
    Panic At the Disco.
    Blake Lewis.

I sometimes put on R&B or oldies tunes. I can fall asleep to basically anything. Heck, I fell asleep to Slipknot once. Haha.

I listen to Christina Perri. Her songs are sweet and melodious.

Listening to Modest Mouse usually puts me in a sleepy mood, even their stuff that isn't necessarily soft or quiet. I think it's Isaac Brock's voice. It's just so lovely (albeit unusual).

    Also, Manchester Orchestra.

Jónsi/Sigur Rós such a nice sound, seriously. Also The Middle East.
Anything with repetitive drum beats seems to put me down really quick too, it's weird.

    Coldplay or Ed Sheeran.

Coldplay because I find their music beautiful but they're not much my style so I find them a tad boring at times. And Ed Sheeran's voice is just beautiful to go to sleep to In Love

I also like to listen to 1D before I sleep, but that doesn't put me to sleep, so XD

You might want to try classical or acoustic songs. The acoustic for I'll Follow You- Deathcab For Cutie is really good
