To me, colored skinny jeans are all about being individual, even though they are a growing trend amongst teenagers and young adults.
In colors ranging from highlighter green to crimson, people (boys and girls) are embracing the individuality of wearing your favorite color, but in jean form.
Different people like different colors, so even though they are a growing trend, I've never seen anyone wear the exact same pair as I am.

The colored jean epidemic, doesn't just stop with bold solid colors. Stores like Hot Topic have started making skinny jeans with patterns like Cheetah print, to gingham, with the bright colors.

Do you think that people have gone too far? Or do you think that embracing this individual movement based on pants is something every teenager should do?

Personally, my grandma would rather I express myself with bright hair and bright clothes than in a different way.
I got a pair of bright blue skinnies for my birthday, and I believe I am the only one where I live that has them. :cute:

It's a very good way to express yourself, I think.

I had some black and white skinnies from Camden about 4 years ago, and I was the only person who wore coloured skinnies.
And I went to see Mcfly and like, EVERYONE was wearing them....As in like, different colours and stuff

I have a pair of purple skinnies. :con:
Everyone at my school wears skinny jeans; the only way to stand out among the crowd is to wear bolder colors, then just the traditional denim blue.
But, that's just my opinion. 8)

I used to like them when they were..umm...in style, but I have no problem with them if they can be pulled off. Which Im sure they could be, but they died out quick here. I'll just stick to my black and denim.

^I'm the same. I like the coloured jeans, but I think that patterns belong more on legging type material.

I have turquoise jeans and red jeans, and I love wearing them.
Especially since I know that when I wear them out, I know that no one has the same pair as me.

I like the bright colors but I don't necessarily like the patterns. Especially ones with more than one bright color.
They can, like, blind you. >.<

    ^ I know right?
Any jeans really only look good that original 'jean color' if you ask me.
You know those various shades of blue and sometimes black?
    Yeah... Those.

I agree with platypus. and Gabe Saporta.
They look tacky, and jeans should just be the normal jean color.

I like acid-wash colored jeans, you know, the ones that are slightly faded.
I was trying to find an example... but all I could find was these shorts from Topshop:

    Image

So just imagine them in a skinny jeans form. That's the only kind of color I can tolerate because I think it looks quite cool if you pair it up with a simple white top and don't go crazy with clashing colors.

I'm with Rawr I'm a dinosaur; I like the colour but not the patterns. I personally own a pair of bright blue skinnies, and when I wear them they're the burst of colour in my outfit (aka they normally get paired with black, or a deep purple or green). I just find the skinny fit so comfortable, and I love bright colours so much.

Now that I think about it your totally right...I dont think they can be pulled off eaither, because your always trying to match something with that shade blue, red, or purple; matchy-matchy is never stylish.

I'd probably stretch to red, but that's about it.
I don't like the patterned ones - especially not the leopard print ones.
But hey, each to their own. :cute:
