And don't worry too much about your results until you have them, okay?
    Thank you

I don't know if all schools do "career interviews", but mine does, so I had to talk to someone from Career Scotland about options once I leave school. Anyway, one thing really annoyed me - she had already seen my records, expected grades, reports from teachers and everything, but said she wad "suprised" I was so set on going to university "given my background". Cry Cry She was meaning that my 3 step-brothers left school and didn't sit exam, and my dad and step dad both left school to get jobs that didn't require qualifications. I just thought that was completely out of line, especially since I'm a good student, and my sister (who, of course had the same "background" ) is studying at Edinburgh.
I am the first person in my family to go to university, I am done with my first year now, I wouldn't it to heart.

If any of you ever need some advice I am here if you need it, a voice of experience.

    So much pressure on me!
I'm looking to go to Swansea or Nottingham.
    Either way, I can't wait =]

I doubt that I'll go to a British university. For one thing, I'm American, and for another, universities in general are pretty pricey. I've been fascinated with England since I was eight, though, and I intend to go there someday, though maybe not for educational purposes.

I've pretty much got my heart set on St. George's Medical School (University of London) because of the course they provide, their syllabus and honestly, it was mainly because it's in London.
My best friends sister goes there it's really good.

I went to the UCL open day today and I loved it. I really really want to go, I need to bust my balls in A2 if I stand a chance of getting in. I probably won't :(

    Apply anyway. xD
You never know unless you try. You'll also have a better idea after you get your AS results in August.

What course do you want to apply for, anyway?

My sister goes there. :tehe: To St. George's I mean.

UCL is a really great university, I really hope you get in, just work real hard for your last year in school. A good personal statement is mostly what you wanna work hard on, because they don't ask for interviews that much in some departments.

I'm at Strathclyde University in the very heart of Glasgow.

It's okay but I'm starting to regret my choice of university and choice of course.

But I think that's just temporary.

I'm considering St. George's, I looked around it last week and I loved it In Love.
I'm currently compiling a list, and I'm aiming to get it down to 2 by the time I actually have to apply to university :tehe:.
Top of the list at the moment are Oxford (in all honesty, I'm doubtful I'd get in though), Edinburgh (which I adore, but is so far away from everyone I know.) and St. George's.

All my teachers keep really trying to push us towards Strathclyde saying it's better that Glasgow financially, socially and educationally. I'm really only not considereing it just because it's VERY close to where I live. I know so many people that love it there, which kind of makes me think about it.
