Yeah, I'll go to a British university...well, if I actually go to university. I'm not 100% sure about anything any more. Disgust

I don't have any particular favourites, because I haven't really thought about it that much.

Did you go to any other open days?
I've been around Edinburgh but it's kind of early days :shifty.
I only went around St. Georges because my aunt happens to live about 15 minutes away, so I thought I may aswell check it out whilst we were there.

    Edinburgh! Wow

Not that I'm biased or anything. But it's a lovely university.

I've pretty much got my heart set on St. George's Medical School (University of London) because of the course they provide, their syllabus and honestly, it was mainly because it's in London.
I'm considering St. George's, I looked around it last week and I loved it In Love.
I'm currently compiling a list, and I'm aiming to get it down to 2 by the time I actually have to apply to university :tehe:.
Top of the list at the moment are Oxford (in all honesty, I'm doubtful I'd get in though), Edinburgh (which I adore, but is so far away from everyone I know.) and St. George's.
Yes, I just love that it's so medical orientated, and gives you hands on experience that no other universities offer in the field.

    Good luck with getting in.

I shall hopefully be going to London; either St. George's or Queen Mary's.

I had the exact opposite problem, all my friends went to London and I was stuck up in Birmingham. It's a beautiful city, but it's just not London.

I'm off to University of Brighton in September.
The campus is in Eastbourne though for School of Service Management, since I'm studying BA Hons International Event Management.

It's a 4-year sandwich course, so I get 2 years at uni, 1 year placement, and another year at uni.
I'm having serious trouble finding accommodation, but I hope something sorts itself out. :]

I'm trying to find Universities at the moment and waiting for my AS results to come through.

So hopefully i'll get the grades to to A level, do not want to have to do a whole year again with the year below they're really...well i don't really have anything nice to say about them but i'm sure the upper sixth thought that about my year as well.

I'm trying to find a good combination for a Creative Writing course but so far it's mainly English lit or Drama studies and everyone's telling me to think of a job when all i want to be is an author - i don't really care what else i do.

But i've been looking at Bath Spa and Roehampton, Bath Spa seems to have a very good English degree course so i think i'll have to go to an open day and also down to Roehampton.

Has anyone else done a combination degree with Creative Writing??

I went to Cambridge yesterday, and had a look at the Unis. They all looked really nice, and I would love to go there some day (not to mention, the place was full of hot guys :tehe: ).
But I'd also quite like to go to London or Edinburgh, simply because they're big cities that I love, and have always wanted to live in.
Knowing me, I'll end up going to Robert Gordon's in Aberdeen, and living at home till I graduate :XD

I have no idea what course I want to do. Up until last week, I was wanting to do fashion design or photography, but I got my exam results, and I'd failed Art, and then I realised I really can't be arsed with continuing with Art this year, so I'm dropping it. Which means I won't be able to go to Art school =P
But I'd like to do something with Chemistry now, so yeah.
I've still got a year or so to decide though =P

I think Met are having a load of money problems. They told students last year they may not be able to fund certain courses anymore so be careful.

Is there a university in the UK where I have a good chance of getting in as an International student without having to sell my soul to afford it? To study something along the lines of English?

I think all International students have to pay more in the UK.

I know my uni charges £12000 for international students.

I only picked them as my last choice because it's one of the only places that do my preferred course :tehe:

My sister did her teacher training there and is tellnig me it's a dive and I should avoid it so I might change it yet

I agree, I looked around Met with a friend and the students were very honest to us about the place! Luckily im not going there!

Hopefully I'll be at Coventry Uni in september....have to wait till next thursday to find out! =O
If that fails, second choice Brighton Uni, both for geography.

The Universities in Birmingham encourage International students if I remember correctly. I think in particular Aston favours them.

I've pretty much got my heart set on Warwick or Birmingham.
Both require AAB, which after today I think I can do :)

I'm American. I doubt that I'll go to college in England--I mean, not unless I move to Europe or something in the next few years, which is doubtful. I'm curious about English universities now, though. Are they especially well-known for being "good" universities or something? *waves ignorant flag*
