Christian Music and Bands

and many others...I really like earlier Christian rock bands like Stryper and Whitecross tho...they're my favs.

I know they're a Christian band, and they're super cool.

Anberlin is my new favorite christian band, They are such a breath of fresh air.

Well I like a band regardless of their religious beleifs. If the song is good and has a message that goes beyond just saying stuff like "WORSHIP GOD! WORSHIP GOD! WORSHIP GOD OR DIE!" then I don't have a problem listening to it at all. I usually find many Chrstian bands have songs with meanings that go beyond the statement "I believe in god" and I like that.

I also listen to quite a few Satanic and Pagan bands. Really, religion is just another lyrical topic to me.

Also... a lot of the bands listed here I really like and I hadn't even noticed they were Christian until seeing them on your lists. Goes to show how much I care about a band's religion, huh? xD

The only thing Biblical about their band is their name...I mean they all grew up as Catholics I believe but none of them are Christian now. Or as far as I know. Not that that matters.

I know that M Shadows at least is a professed Christian but I don't think the rest of the band is - if they are, they haven't said so. Just to clear that up.

^Really? Interesting considering I've heard rumours that he practised satan worship when he was in high school...Heh.

Casting Crowns is the best for me, ngl. I've seen Hillsong and Chris Tomlin and Lifehouse and Switchfoot and Sonicflood, but the messages and lyrics and the music of Casting Crowns is just... something else.
