    A good starter job would be a kitchenhand. I started doing it not long after I'd turned 17 and it taught me how to work under pressure and good customer service skills. I'd definitely recommend it.

    It's not nearly as boring and demeaning a job as some people make it out to be.

    I think it depends on where you live but I know that in Australia you can get clothing retail to retail to working at Maccas/Hungry Jacks if you're 15/16. I didn't start working until I finished school and I worked at a clothing retail store during the Christmas period. Working in hospitality is a good place to start and then work your way up to retail (retail generally gets better pay + it's harder to get into, I've heard).

    But I refuse to work in hospitality, so all I've ever worked in is retail XD
