Area 51

I have always been fascinated with the idea of Area 51. I mean, the idea od the government hiding things from the public is interesting. I just want to know what they are hiding.

Are the making deadly military weapons?

Are the hiding UFO's?

I remember I was watching a UFO Hunter's and the team went to where Area 51 was located. After a few minutes of being there (they were above ground), helicopters, jeeps and all these people told them to leave. What is there to hide?

I think there is a possibility it is there. Who are we to say, really, that there isn`t any terestrial life out there? There is most likely a lot of things the government is hiding from us - not necessarily whats stated above - that we may not know about.
Perhaps for our own sake.

But not knowing what it is keeps me awake sometimes. I'd love to find out somehow...

I don't like the thought that the goverment is keeping secrets from us.

I think that Torchwood is based at Area 51.
It makes sense.

My friend's mom was driving by Area 51, with her GPS system on, and when they got near it, it just turned off. I thought it was creepy. I think it's because they don't want people to know where it's located.

Obviously there is something there that they don't want us humans to know about. It's really interesting, actually. It could be aliens, the government experimenting on humans, anything is possible. Gah, I can't wait until somebody manages to break in and unveil the truth.

To convince people that there is something there.
If there wasn't very good security, then people would get in an reveal that there was nothing there. This way keeps people away from the real place.

I don't know what's there, but it could simply just be a military base for government testing.

Of course the government would keep it secret, if one reporter found out, the whole world would find out. They might be trying to create a weapon or new type of defense system to keep us safe, and if everyone saw it and knew about it, then someone could easily figure it out and it would be useless.

People would go insane and become paranoid. It would destroy some religions (primarily Christianity). It would just be a huge mess that we'd have to deal with.

But those are just my thoughts. :cute:

I looked it up on Google Maps out of boredom. Sort of creepy, in the middle of this huge wasteland desert and all. Seriously, nothing else near it other than Lake Groom.

And I watched a documentary on Area 51 and I think the government split it up because people were getting to close.

I reckon they're just doing experiments that are too dangerous to share with the public, probably constructing nuclear warheads, that are more deadly.

Or like the thing off I Am Legend, trying to create a cure for cancer, so they do it underground so if it goes wrong the public won't be infected :file:

Hm, I'm not sure about Area 51. Hollywood has made such a parody about it, that its turned some of us skeptic.
I believe that we aren't the only ones here. We can't be the only life forms in this macroscopic galaxy.
Maybe we have been already visited, maybe the government is hiding something, maybe some of us are what we fear.
It's all a theory though, and theories are what we want to believe.
