I searched this and I found forums for Anorexia and Bulimia, but they're not the only eating disorders out there.

I have Compulsive Eating Disorder. It runs in my family. Most of my aunties and cousins have it. I've tried to stop many times, but there doesn't seem to be much I can do about it, except have enough willpower to not eat so much.
Sometimes I go into my kitchen and I see food and I just eat it, and then five minutes later I'm like "why did I do that? I wasn't even hungry."

    So do you have one?

No. I don't have one, but a close friend of mine does. But she's in denial. Sad When I spoke to her, she has all the criteria but is in denial. Well, that's what I gathered anyway.

I haven't heard much about CED, but I should imagion it isn't nice. I'm off to Google it.

My parents encourage anorexia, for some reason.
They think very small portions is what I need to eat.
I think they kind of forced me to do it in like.. third grade.
I lost 10 pounds in one week.
Of course, I gained it back with a BUNCH of extra pounds.

Last year, I was bulimic. But of course, I've stopped. It fucked up my voice.
I don't remember why I stopped or how I started.
I just knew that I looked thin during those days.
It's an awful thing to do to your body though.

    I've stopped caring.
After I told my ex boyfriend that I was concious about my weight and I was kind of bulimic, he had made two entire classes into calling me fat.

^ Did the bulimia rot some of your teeth?
Some people tell me that the continuous vomitting makes it happen.

    I`ve never had one, actually.
I haven`t really cared enough about what other people think of me to go that far.
I`m alright with how I look, It could be better, but I don`t give a shit.
This is me, and it`s all I`m ever going to get, so why waste it?

Yeah, the stomach acid rots your teeth over time and sort of ruins your oesophagus too.
It's certainly not a glamourous sight or experience.

I had anorexic tendencies a few years back, but I was never actually anorexic. I just stopped eating for a few months, well, I'd stop eating for a few days, then one day I'd eat, and it would just go on like that. I'd never eat at school, but I would if I was forced at home. But sometimes I'd throw it up. I really thought I was fat during that time, but I really wasn't. I was only like 8 and half stone. (And nowadays I actually weigh less, but eat more! It's mad.)
I'm glad that I never actually became anorexic, because those few months were horrible.

You could be 'alright', some people don't show signs of erosion/decay/etc., even after years of an eating disorder...

Usually, though, your dentist will work something out.

However, it's not just making yourself sick that will screw up your teeth. Starving yourself does, too, especially as anorexics often live off highly acidic sugar-free aspartame loaded drinks. :-)

^ Yea, that's actually a way to tell if someones underweight. Cos' their teeth may be clean, but your breath will be like morning breath x5.

^ Really? That's actually quite interesting. Of course I'm not gonna go smelling breaths now but what if they're under weight yet healthy?

ED's are really hard to deal with no matter the type. It's full of constant relapses and a lot of strong emotions - and I'm not talking about the positive ones. It's...really difficult. Especially when surrounded by unsupportive people.

Sad I would never wish an ED upon anyone. It's terrible, it really screws things up, not just your body.

I was talking about erosion, but yeah - it does make your breath smell like urg (wonderful vocabulary I have). Something about ketosis, I think?

Basically, anorexia and bulimia do nothing for the cosmetic (and functional) futrure of your teeth. :-)

I used to be anorexic... I still haven't fully recovered from it though. I still hate eating and some things, and others, things that used to be my favourite foods, I get so sick eating them.
    It sucks so much.

I think alot of people could relate to that. I know I can, but I couldn't say that I've got it. :tehe:
