If I were to go to a concert by.. say Colbie Caillat, and it was hot outside and I'd really rather be wearing open shoes; I would definitely go on flipflops because you're gonna know the music is mellow and everyone is gonna be mellow and fine because of it.
If I was going to a show that would involve more upbeat music which could lead to dancing/jumping/whatevering; I really wouldn't wear any shoes other than some decent and strong sneakers.
I think it just really depends on what show you're gonna see and what the crowd is gonna be like. On like a prom; all the girls wear high heels and flimsy open shoes and everyone is still gonna be dancing to techno music and the like, and I've never heard of someone ending up getting hurt because of it.
This to me shows that it's indeed possible to wear your flipflops with pride to a concert, without having to band aid your entire foot the next day.:cute:
