We all know someone who's allergic to a certain type of food. Whether it be a type of grain, a condiment, or even a type of meat, food allergies are EVERYWHERE.

So, what are you allergic to that's a food? And what's your allergic reaction to it?

My brother's allergic to beef, which was consequently his favorite food. :tehe:
He breaks out in hives whenever he consumes it...

    Share! Have no shame. :cute:

I've got a mild allergy to prawns and most seafood. When I touch it I get itchy hands and little red blotches.

Which is quite handy because I don't like it anyway :XD

I had an allergy to seafood. Specifically crab.
I'd get a rash all over my body after I eat it. But now, I don't have an allergy anymore.

My mom is allergic to alcohol.
If she even has a little sip of something alcoholic, her face becomes all red and she has trouble breathing.

I don't have any real allergies.
Some things hurt my stomach but other than that I'm clear.

I found out I was extremely allergic to kiwi after I had some in a cheesecake.

Not hospital bad, but the inside of my mouth itched like crazy for a week. I hated it. A lot.

Just about everything under the sun irritates my skin.
Corn, flour, wheat, tomatoes, gluclose, chocolate and there's plenty more but I'd rather stop there.

My young cousin is allergic to peanuts. At a recent event, a friend of hers gave her chocolate and she didn't bother asking if there were peanuts - after all, she's like, what, 6? She ate it and broke out in hives - there were peanuts. She now has some disease that's close to like Measels or some shit like that. I don't know but if I find that kid, I'm curb-stomping their face. :file:

I'm allergic to peanuts and soya beans.
Since I'm early to soya beans, I can't eat tofu.

I don't have any, but I have geographical tongue so it gets sore/itchy when I eat things with lots of acid. Very nasty.

I don't think I'm allergic to anything foodwise.
Although I ate roasted peanuts once and I broke out into a rash the next morning - and that morning happened to be the day of my field trip. My teacher saw how red in the face I was and sent me to the Nurse's office and I didn't get to go >_>

At one point I had some allergy to chicken, but...now I don't, oddly enough. I don't know, maybe it was something in it?
I would get itchy spots all over my arms. Not cool.

My mom is allergic to the skin on mangos. She can eat mangos, but can't touch the skin. She told me one time she was peeling one and didn't know she was allergic, and then her hands got swollen. :XD

I think it was a mango, at least. It was some kind of fruit. :shifty
