Casey's first kiss isn't anything special or particularly memorable. They're by the bike sheds, a secluded area behind the school buildings that's rarely used or, indeed, known about, since there are a grand total of two people who cycle to school. He's pushing her up against the graffitied wall, and her back aches where the rough surface has scratched down her skin. It's abandoned except for the two of them, with only a couple of bicycles moored to rusted poles and some crisp packets and other assorted packaging littering the ground. Apart from the flash of colourful tags splattered across the walls, it's a dull, grey, lifeless area, and she finds herself wishing this could just be over so she can leave.

Ian's school really wasn't all that exciting. For a college in a small town, it was rather large. It appealed to students from all over. The school was on the far side of town from where Ian lived. For this purpose alone, he wasn't exactly fond of the college. The sight of it alone made his head hurt. The color was some absurd yellow that some absurd painter had thought looked good.

Ian much preferred the ship. It could technically be called his 'workplace'. Ian liked the ship more than he had liked the college. The college had been gloomy with sad, desperate, students running around trying to meet deadlines. The students hadn't seemed all to happy to be there, for the most part. The crew, however, were excited to be on the ship.

The ship was a giant. It was nothing compared to the college, but it didn't need to compare. It was an exuberant thing. When Ian had first laid eyes on the ship, his first thought included comparing the ship to an old pirate ship. It even included the sails - when Fae felt like letting them down, that is. The ship looked like it was made of wood - Ian knew better after one touch. The ship itself was also larger than any possible pirate ship. While an old ship would probably be about three or four floors, the Moxie was about ten or twelve.

Claymore Hideaway is generally shaded by trees; it's a relatively old neighborhood compared to others in the area. Ren sees old asphalt roads that are cracking and sidewalks covered in vines and grass. The houses are dull, painted neutral colors; they all look the same. Overall, day after day, Claymore always looks like it's about to rain.
There was a newer section added to the neighborhood some time ago, but Ren lives in the older part with more trees canopying the roads and putting shade over his house.

Lately Tasha has been spending most of her time at the video rental store, Filmstar. Not usually by choice, per se; it's where she works, but now that Justin frequents it she rather enjoys being there. During and sometimes some time after her shift, they hang out there, talking movies and life in general. Most of their time is spent inside the building by default, under it's bright fluorescent lighting.
It is organized into several aisles, alphabetically and slightly by genre. Although, things are not always in order; much time is spent straightening up after curious customers. Some of the walls are lined with movies on shelves. In particular, there's a small wall toward the back, almost in the Employee only areas, that contains old titles. There aren't many that are old enought to suit Justin, but it's the closest thing to being in his element he truly is in the whole store.
After her shift, they sometimes loiter outside the front of the building for a spell. It's a relatively old brick building, the more modern front doors were probably an edit to the structure. Neither are experts in architechture, so not much thought is given to it. The surroundings of the front are relatively clean (it's still a city sidewalk, but not dangerously "dark alley" skanky.) To one side, there is a rather seedy looking alley, however. Compared to some surrounding areas, this section of the city is rather small. Rather than a parking lot, cars are typically parked on the street sides. (I believe there are surrounding businesses, but I haven't yet decided the nature of them yet.)

Tyler hates going to the hospital. He hates the perpetually clean, white wards, so bleached of any colour that is leeches the life out of everything surrounding it. He could trace the walk to Izzy's bed blindfolded - through the entrance, up the stairs, past the shop to the cancer ward and then on to the final bed on the right - because he's been there so many times, but it doesn't lessen the pain. Or the guilt. The ward is always the same: there's always the same number of beds surrounding them, some empty, some filled, and there's always that same, clinical stench hovering in the air that smells like people waiting to die.

But most of all, he hates seeing what lies in the bed, curled up amongst the tangled bed covers stained with puke and sweat, peering out from sunken eyes set in a frail face. He'll look at anything to get away from that face. Even the hospital he detests the very sight of. He'll face the IV drip she's attached to, cold and mechanical like everything else in this godforsaken place, turn his head to the whitewashed walls and lose himself in their emptiness.

"Matt's place was a small two bedroom house that Peter had been visiting frequently since he was in middle school. It was far from luxurious, but the walls and furniture had warm colours that always made him feel comfortable.
Perhaps it wasn't the way it looked that made the teenager feel at ease, but the fact that he knew that he was safe there, that he could be himself.

Matt's mother would always apologize for the rooms not being clean enough, for the dirty dishes in the sink starting to pile up. But even though Peter lived in a house that was always clean and spacious, he'd pick that place in a heartbeat. It just made him feel warm." -Peter, Mirros from Afar

Merryn is not lost. Merryn is not lost in the slightest. Merryn is merely... misplaced. Misplaced in a forest in the middle of the night that's infested with trees and bushes and all manner of (harmless) animals that chirp and hoot and howl. She'll find her way soon, she just has to dodge the overhanging branches that scrape through her hair and feel her way past gnarled barks and crunching leaves and cut through the dense thicket of bushes on either side of her until she finds the elusive path she started on.

Merryn shivers. So maybe she is a little bit lost after all.

A house of adultery. Terrible crimes have been committed within these walls, on the bed, on the floor. Stephen never ventures further into his own house than his bedroom, kitchen and study. The study holds his hidden whisky bottles and vodka. The living room contains stains, from the times when his ex-wife would fraternise so willingly with men from the streets; he doesn't dare enter such a horrific place again.

Cedric's first job was actually the bottom of the ladder of the department he wanted to work for at the Ministry; The Control of Magical Creatures Office. The job was in itself boring, but he tried to make the most of it. You would think that registering and inspecting wizards and witches to make sure they could be sutible owners for Kneezles and Curps would be easy, but it involved a ton of paperwork and many late hours. He had a tiny little office to himself and the paperwork that hadn't been taken down to the registry yet was overflowing every corner of the space he had. His desk was often covered with memos, quills, and inkpots, but he kept one corner neat, and that was the corner that held his three photographs; one of himself and his friends, one of his parents, and one of himself and Jennifer.

Meals tend to appear from different sources on the road, but they always eat lunch together in the bus. Danny slouches over his food like he's asleep on one end of the sofa, and the rest of us all seem to pile in on top. Caleb always makes me sit on the end, beside him though. I suppose it's his way of setting me apart from the others. His way of admitting I'm more than just the bassist.

Kevin lives in plain little Tanglewood, Georgia, so the view isn't spectacular. There are no mountains, not even in the distance, and there aren't even any trees. Because it gets so hot where he lives, most of the time the grass is scorched to a light brown. The sky is clear as usual; the only time it ever rains in Tanglewood is during springtime. Driving through the countryside of Tanglewood, there are quite a few farms here and there and a couple of roadside shacks that look like they've been deserted.

However, in the neighborhood Kevin lives in, the houses are pretty uniform in style - when he looks out his window he sees rows of quaint little homes that all look the same. It's a clean place and seems pretty average as far as neighborhoods go. His backyard isn't all that big and neither is his front yard.

Lucas was born on a reservation in Kansas for "Nonpassing Differents." Specifically, in his mother's stable on their lot. (He's a centaur, for the record.) The reservations are kept rather poorly. They don't see a lot of funding or care. The creatures living there are poor and most have little hope to get out of the reservations, seeing as the world is not designed for them. Housings are often in various states of disrepair. Lucas's father did the best he could to keep their stables sturdy and standing and to keep their small lot clean. Lucas didn't really notice how poor conditions were on the reservation until he grew older.

Charlie never exactly had a 'favorite' place. Her favorite place never actually existede in real life. Her mind, she absolutely adored staying somewhere she could control every little detail. Other places outside of her mind, in reality she never minded it, but never enjoyed spending time. She lets her imagination run off with the boy she's chasing and take care of every problem she comes to face with.

Jennifer has had more than plenty scarring experiances, but one of the worst occured right within the walls of Hogwarts itself. Though it was years ago, she could still see everything perfectly. She had been running away from Lance, down the seventh floor corridor, when she found herself at the very top of the Grand Staircase, the stairs changing all the time down bellow her. It was very dizzying, and she could remember how cold and sharp the stone of the banister had felt on her back when Lance pushed her over it. After that, all she could remember was her head rushing as she fell several stories before someone finally caught her.

Two things come to Lucas's mind just hearing the word "dream" alone. He would like to either live in ordinary society with his normal and "Passing"("differents that unlike him can disguise or pass as human) friends without any of the inconveniences and stigmas he now faces outside of the reservation. He also envisions- whether he lives there or not- a village in the reservation lands that isn't in disrepair and squallor. There are houses that are safe, sturdy, and prettier. Everyone has what they need to live. Everything is fine. The adults don't have to worry so much about survival as they did in Lucas's time; they don't have to desperately try to hide their miseries from their children as Lucas's family did for most of his childhood. Everyone can just live and be fine.

I think I'd like to be at the park. Ash would bring his guitar, I would bring the food, probably mac and cheese because that's Ash's favorite, and we would just lay there in the grass next to each other, listening to the people around us. And no one would look at us like we were different, or say anything nasty and I wouldn't have to worry about a thing.

Anette's house is rather charming and idealic. It's two stories, made of wood, and has white walls, fence, and light grey trim. Her mother likes to garden, so there are lots and lots of flowers growing around the base of the house and spare pots and trowels on the front porch. Inside, everything is cozy, warm, and neat. The dining room plays host to a richly carved table and a small golden chandalier, and connected is a rather large kitchen. Also downstairs are her parent's rooms, downstairs bathroom, living room, and her father's study, which he shuts himself up in when he brings home cases to work on from the office. Upstairs are two bedrooms, another bathroom, and an art room where not only does Anette's mother do her flower arranging, but the baby grand paino is there where Anette's dad accompanies Anette when she practices her vocal pieces. Anette's room is right next door, and it too is very neat. Everything is cream and white, from the furniture to the carpet and bedsheets. The only things on her walls are posters from shows she's been in, a portrait Gerard drew of her, and a poem that Mikey wrote for her their Freshman year.

Todd feels most at peace in his room. It's the one place he can go to be alone and clear his head. He keeps it fairly neat, and there's not a lot of decoration to it. The walls are a light shade of grey and are mostly left plain, with a poster or two but nothing too busy. It serves it's purpose that way. The furniture is fairly practical: a bed by the window, a dresser, and a tv.

There is one place where Olivia spends the majority of her time, and that is the bedroom on the tour bus. She and Billie keep their space fairly neat, but she's learned after several months to not take down the pictures that he tapes around his bunk. The bed is just barely large enough for them to share, but one of them usually ends up lying on top of the other for the duration of the night. Not that either of them really mind.
