I use a rubber band to snap on myself whenever my emotions get out of control, it is to keep me from cutting but it might work for you. Then there is stuff like counting back words which does work for some people. If it is very extreme talk to a counselor about why it happens and then how to control it.

Well, does it get better along the month, becos' if it does then it's just your cycle. But if it doesn't, go to your GP.

I experience the exact same thing. I was told two methods by my councillor (neither worked for me, but they may do for you):

One: leave whatever it is that makes you angry etc, leave the room that it's in and wait sure you're calm again before you attempt to do it again.

Two: Imagine a box, in the corner of your brain. If you get any thoughts that irritate you, sadden you etc, then place them into this box. If the thoughts try and escape the box, simply imagine that you're forcing your hands onto the box, and it will keep them away.

I personally can't do either of those, but they may help for you. And if you needed someone to talk to at all, then I'm always here for you. :arms:

    That's what my therapist said.

A good cry can also help.

Definitely. Don't be afraid to just let it all come rushing out when you're alone. You can feel loads better.
If you can trust people, then talking to people could be good for you.
If it's not, then you can try writing down all of your frustrations. Use curse words, scratch the paper, tear at it, whatever. Then when you're done, throw it away and forget about it.
Hopefully that'll help. I hope you find a way that works best. :-)

    I know how you feel.
Sometimes I get these bursts of anger, I get the urge to write all over my walls and myself, to stab boxes, to throw things.
I get snappy and yell at people for being even slightly annoying.
It's unfare to them when I'm like that.

The stuff that works the best for me is to write- more like scratch- profanities or just whatever comes to mind in a notebook, draw violent pictures what have you.
Turn on Black Flag's Rise Above and eventually it simmers down and I just feel empty and sweaty.

I get really angry too! Less now than i used to...

What helped me was writing it down, or writing something unrelated. Also blasting out music really really loudly.

One of the things making me really angry were my friends, so I just left them and found new people.

If you can think of what's really making you angry, then you can do something about it...but it takes time to figure that out!!

Also, if you have a religion talk to some people and get them to pray with you---sounds stupid, but it actually works.

And, maybe the cause of your trust issues is the cause of your anger? Maybe delve into why you have those issues and talk it over with someone.

This is all just my opinion, but I hope some of this helps...?

I get really angry. On the internet I'm very aggressive, but I am in the real world (somewhat), too. Like if someone is honking their horn repeatedly outside my apartment building, I won't hesitate to go out, yell out them and throw a curse word in there, too. I once went upstairs to yell at my neighbor for playing her music too loudly.

It's a lot easier for me to get pissed at strangers than people I know, though. That always builds up.

I used to get pissed off at people a lot for the most mundane things. Like, it'd tick me off to no end if people touch my hair or if people tap my shoulder more than once. I also used to get these random bursts of violence and I'd punch the nearest vertical surface. Our classroom 'announcements board' was most often the victim of this, but other times it'd be a wall or my cabinet.

I've mostly grown out of it, I think, but I do tend to kick my cabinet shut sometimes still.

I get angry all the time. It's not as bad as it used to be, but I guess it's equally as bad on a different level. I let everything anger me, and over time it slowly builds and I'l explode and ruin things. For example, my friend and I made all these silly drawings and we wanted to keep them forever, but I got so mad at her I broke my phone so she couldn't text me and I ripped up all of our drawings.

I've broken things made/given to me by my brother because I just can't control myself. I used to hit him first, but now I call him things and bring things up that piss him off just so he'll hit me.

I've ripped up/broken pieces of art/cards I've made for my mom when I was younger.

I do get violent but I generally only beat the shit out of myself. I've never thrown the first punch in a few years. Instead I ruin things that have "sentimental value" because at least that packs a bigger punch than my first.

Reading everything here, I'm glad I'm at least not alone in the angry outbursts that I've dealt with my entire life. I've even hit myself out of anger either toward myself and/or other people. I have a hard time controlling it when I snap.
