I'm half-Korean (my mom was born in Korea), part Hawaiian (the number is a bit ambiguous. My grandma on my dad's side is half-Hawaiian, and my papa is a quarter Hawaiian, so I'm not sure what that breaks down to.), part Caucasian (English, French, and German, although the breakdown of this is also quite ambiguous
), and a smidgen Japanese. Basically, just my pinkie toe is Japanese, and somehow the last name has survived, although the blood quantum has nearly disappeared. My birth certificate also says I'm Chinese, and when my brother researched our genealogy, a Chinese surname
did pop up, so I may very well be Chinese.
I'm the only one in my immediate family that's got it on a birth certificate though.
When people see me, though, they think I'm half-Chinese, half-Filipino, so I'm just a bundle of confusion.
