Well I decided to go and get the book. Figure I should read the first book before the show starts.

That would suck if they caneled it after one season, I'm not TV crazy but that would be such a waste to watch for a year and get into something just for them to turn around and cancel it.

Ah, yes. I read the first two books, mostly for the show. I thought they were good. :) I hope you like them.

Yeah, I'm tired of all the sort-of-recent vampire shows being cancelled so soon. Blood Ties and Moonlight are good examples.

I read the book summaries on wikipedia and I like that the books are not mainly romance.

I used to be obsessed with the books. Though I'm a bit peeved they didn't keep to Elena's appearances. Lapis Lazuli blue and blonde hairs, come ooooon.

I've read all four, and I literally cried in one of them...

But I went back to read them a few months ago and laughed at how ridiculously cheesy Elena's thoughts were, but otherwise it's an excellent book.

I'm still looking for the books. I would like to read the first one before the show comes out.

That isn't how I imagined any of them.. and I'm not just saying that because of Elena's hair... I don't think I'll like it.. I've read all three books, and I'm waiting for the fourth. I don't know if it's actually out or not. But still, I don't think I'll like this show, at all,.
