^ So then I might change my opinion when I finally read the book then?

    Honestly? Most likely.
    But enjoy the TV show!
The graphics and stuff are cool.

But it's a lot different from the book. It takes place in '91/'92 in the book, so having it in '09 is weird to me. :XD And the name...it's Fells Church in the book.

Meh. True Blood is a lot different from the book and I love it (though, I haven't read that yet...), so maybe this will change for me.

The True Blood books are good but back too The Vampire Diaries, yeah I will enjoy it.

I really like how dark it is, it fits for a story about vampires.

    It was awwwesome. :weird
Yes, it was a little rushed. But at least a lot happened. And it wasn't boring.
It didn't follow the books well at all, but come on, it's a TV show. They always change a lot of things to turn books into shows.

I couldn't help but wish they'd shown Damon actually killing those people, though. :XD

Can't wait for the next episode.

    I thought it was great!
Even though I haven't read the series, I thought it was cool.
Would reading the series clear up some of the stuff in the show (If there are stuff in the show that's like the book, anyway)?
I guess I'm just confused at Damon being able to use fog, and the Raven. :XD

^ Yeah, the books would clear that all up. 'Cause Damon drinks human blood his powers are all like, enhanced and he can do awesome things like affect the weather and tranform into a crow. :)

    Another trailer for episode 2:

Bloody hell, it looks amazing!

I think one of my friends owns a copy of the Vampire Diaries, so I'll see if I can borrow it.
    :cheese: That trailer is awesome!
Can't wait 'til next week!
I think I just found a new favorite show. :tehe:

I loved the premiere on Thursday :cute:
But the whole time my Twilight-zombie sister was arguing that Stefan was just like Edward and when I told her that L.J. Smith wrote The Vampire Diaries in '91, she shut up. :XD

I'm a Twilight fan, and I didn't see any resemblance in Stefan to Edward at all.

I think it is funny that people compare FICTIONAL characters by the actors they're played by... when the book characters are completely different.

    Haha.
I love Twilight...but I'd choose Stefan over Edward any day.
    At least Stefan doesn't sparkle.

    Apparently October this year.

Gah, I'm in the UK and we have to wait until next year! :twitch: Ah well, I just watch it online. But it does mean I have to wait incredibly long to get the DVD.
It's the same with True Blood, actually.
