I know that we've all had our fair share of bad fashion experiences.

Wear an outfit that you thought looked good?
Dye your hair the wrong colour?
    Embarrassing fashion stages?
Buy something that you've never worn?
    Botched haircut?
    Colour clash?
    Make up gone wrong?

Whatever mistakes you've made or experiences you've had, share them here!

Once I was trying to go blonde, and I went orange instead. XD
That was in ...year 10, I think, so I immediatley dyed over it. Thinking back I hate how I did that because now I really want orange hair. :lmfao

Usually when I get side fringes.
They are terrible. I try to make them look thicker and I guess more like a scene kids, but I usually end up with something that resembles a combover. :grr:

There was also the first disco of 2008. My hair looked cool because I dyed it all hot pink, but the eye make up I was wearing was terrible. It was purple and blue eyeshadow that was all blended together and I looked like I had panda eyes. It was just...ergh.

All my fashion disasters happened before I turned fourteen, when I actually figured out what looked good and what didn't. :XD

Oh my gosh, my worst ever fashion disaster was when I bleached my hair blonde. It looked ridiculous, I looked like Cornish Ice Cream :XD Which, tastes very nice but doesn't look so good as hair. :tehe:

Also, I went through a stage of wearing heavy eyeliner and red lipstick and theres some pictures and it is terrible! It has like smudged everywhere, and the red lipstick ended up disspearing so it looked like I had lipliner on, and urgh! Those pictures are ones I want to burn forever. :lmfao

And oh noes I remembered another one! I once had the biggest haircut disaster, and I had to go to another hairdressers the next day to get it sorted, and it was like a mullet. And not like fashionable and all layered and stuff, just awful. I cringe thinking about it, it took me ages to grow it out as well. :XD.....theres so many others, but I daren't share anymore. :tehe:

Oh gosh, I'm a walking fashion disaster most of the time! :XD

First major boo-boo I remember- wearing a pretty layered skirt that just went past my knees. On the rack it looked amazing and when I tried it on in the fitting rooms, I liked it (no idea why) but when I wore it out for the first time, god, it was horrible, that was the first time I realised I needed to dress for my size. I'm not exactly a size 8 so it was quite an unattractive, wobbly sight in that skirt. That being said I still have it. Never wear it, though. :XD

Major haircut malfunction was when I got my hair cut short, really short. Because I have curly hair, it looked even worse and I hated it so much. It also made me look HUGE. Thank god it was during the holidays so I had the chance to grow it out before school.

I buy HEAPS of things I don't wear after maybe one, two uses. I think I just hate a lot of things after I see myself in them, to be honest. They look good on the models, not-so-much on me. :XD

Most embarrassing fashion stage- remember when turtlenecks were fashionable? Yeah, well I used to own so many of those and I used to think I was so cool. I look back now and it looks like I'm being choked by those damned things.:lmfao

Oh, I've remembered another one. I got my hair cut really fucking short just before the start of the school year. It was absolutely horrible, and I hated it. My friends won't let me live it down either.

Tried to go blonde once...it worked at the roots, then the rest was orange and green

I used to wear really bad smudged black eyeliner when I was about 16...i think most people have been through that stage. Thankfully I learned how to properly apply make-up.

I like to think my fashion choices are usually fairly sound, but I've had a few hair and make-up faux pas over the years.

When I let my friend cut my hair and she somehow managed to cut it to like, boy length. It was down to my waist before that. :twitch: That's my own fault though, but I looked like a boy until it grew out. Oooh and I went through a stage of wearing loads of silver-white eyeshadow at one point. It was dreadful, I looked like an alien with anemia. Not flattering in the slightest. :lmfao

The first time I cut my fringe, such a fail, lets just say it took about 10 bobby pins to pin it up. Also I cringe when people mention the times I perminently dyed my hair black, I only just got it back to it's natural auburn colour now because it was so dyed out it wouldn't bleach at all..
I looked like I hadn't washed my hair in ages for a loooong time.

The days when I wore completely black in general and wore hoodies and borderline cross dressed made me a walking fashion fail even though I thought it was cool at the time. Heck no.

Oh god, I have more than imaginable.
When I was in sixth grade I went through this whole short skirt stage. I'd wear these skirts thinking I was gorgeous like the other girls; yeah no. Everyone laughed at me behind my back and I didn't even know it until someone took a picture.
    -_-

If you look at any of my baby pictures, you'll see me with a mullet. That's my mom's favourite fashion.

One time a few months ago, I was messing around with scissors and accidentally cut a giant piece of hair and it couldn't be fixed. Then another time I couldn't see in the mirror and cut my fringe way to short.

For my freshman year book picture I look half dead because I didn't know it was picture day and I was dressed like I just woke up out of bed.
    :XD

Gosh, I have so many more.

In the seventh grade I had this long flowly skirt and everyone thought I went to mexico because of the way it looked. I only wore it because a family member got it for me and I did not want to hurt there feelings.

I sure did stand out in a crowd.

I tried to get I guess what you'd call, a 'scene' cut.
And well. Bad bad bad idea. Mainly cause my hair is curly.
I looked like a poodle. :XD

Ugh, I grew my hair so long once. I looked like a tramp.

I used to put a BUNCH of eyeliner. My family was always telling me how it didn't look good but i didn't listen to them until I realized for myself that I look better with less.
Also, something I reallyt regret was when I chopped my hair off. I was very angry and decided I wanted short hair. So, I grabbed it all together and just cut it off. It was all crooked and messed up. Fortunately, my sister's a hairdresser so she fixed it up and it didn't look bad. But now I'm letting my hair grow. I want it at least down to the middle of my back.

I had some horrible, nasty haircuts that gave me nightmares.
I wore a leather overall dreass to school pictures once. I'm thankful it happened in elementary school, but still a faux pas.

When I was ten, I was really into Disney's Lizzie McGuire, so when Hilary Duff started her own line of clothing, I thought it was cute. My mom bought this cute little shirt; it was pink with this cute little multi-hued pink butterfly and a bit of white glitter. The only draw back was the ruched cap sleeves. I didn't think they were a problem until my friends teased me about them. I was dubbed "Fluffy" because of the ruched cap sleeves.

It was 90 degree weather that summer, and I wore my denim jacket every time I wore the shirt. Never mind the possibility of heatstroke. I've never worn anything with ruched sleeves again.

When I was fourteen I decided to get my hair cut for our 8th grade banquet. Wrong thing to do, I got bangs/fringe cut in. They were long and meant to be swept to the side in the same way all the other girls were doing it. No, they didn't want to compromise, so I spent four months growing them out. The sad part is that no one knew who I was at the banquet, just because I got a haircut.

Probably everytime I buy a shirt and I like it when I try it on in a fitting room, and then hate it when I wear it again because it's too tight. That happens to me quite a lot. I want to hit myself on the head with a baseball bat becuase I'm so fucking stupid :XD

I had a rather embarassing cheetah print stage in which I looked like a hooker non-stop. And people seem to remember quite well. For awhile I tried to do this with my eyes only I put it on WAY to thick, espeically on the bottom. I tried to cut my own bangs a few times in a sideswept kinda emoy way, like this, only longer so it went into my eye and failed at it. Most days when I leave my house, I'ma a walking fashion disaster.

Oh man. In middle school, I went through this horrible eyeliner stage. My parents wouldn't let me wear makeup, so I put it on the bus.
Bad. Mistake. I would do that every morning too.
It was scraggly, it was uneven, it was heavy.
Then I wore band shirts all the time and everybody else called me emo and gothic and satanits, or at least the nonunderstanding ones did.
Then I grew up and realized that wearing all black and spiky hair to job interviews doesn't go over very well.
    Thank god for high school.
    Now I'm a junior...and wearing clothes that don't match.
    One extreme to another.
