I feel like I should've been born in the 80's. (I would've been born in the 80's instead of the 90's had my parents succeeded in having me eralier)

I definitely think that I was born in the wrong century. My favorite time period ranges from about 1840-1900. I really like the Civil War-era of history, and I enjoy the time-period of the Oregon Trail, and even Little House on the Prairie, books and movie/TV show. I think it's a very simple time.. very wholesome. I wish I could have lived back then.

I would like to of been born in the 30's so I could live through the 50's. Although I don't think it would be much fun to be a woman in the past. Plus WW2 can't have been much fun to live through.

I think I should have been born in the 80's, so to have been born in a better generation. People my age are stupid.

I would live in Chicago in the 90s, because that was when punk rock kind of erupted- especially in Chicago.

Ever since I was little, I felt like I was supposed to be living in Colonial America. And when I say "little," I mean, I was five and playing Revolutionary War in the woods.

    I wish I was a teenager in the late 60's/ early 70's.

I'm grateful for our advances in medicine and technology, but I feel like the world is so uptight anymore. Well, in certain ways. We've loosened when it comes to viewing racial issues, as well as women's rights and things of that nature, but school and education have just became such a huge part of life. I mean, that's great and all - but I'd much rather live in a time where you worked, and that was that. Not you earned a degree, climbed some social ladder, and blah blah.

The 60's and 70's were so much more laid back, with certain aspects, plus the music and style was just amazing.

Think I like the quirks of certain eras, but in comparison with the freedom, gender equality, medicine, and other advances that we have today, I'm not sure if I would voluntarily want to travel in the past where those things are undeveloped.

With that said, I think I'd love to be born into ancient Egypt, though. I love the connection to nature and animals that they had. They believed that a relationship with the Earth was what kept things in balance, and that it was delicate; the land gave you food, and you needed to honor it. I think we stampede through life in this country and time period, failing to appreciate things like that.

Also, the arts of Egypt seemed amazing to be around. By this, I mean the literal art, but also the architecture and music.

The belief system and idea of an afterlife to prepare for seemed wonderful too. In Love It would be nice to go through life with your whole community working towards not only your promising life, but also your promising afterlife. It would feel like there was always something to work for.

I'd have liked to been born in the mid to late 1980s, so I'd be able to see more of what the 1990s had to offer. :)

I'm not exactly sure when, but I'm very old-fashioned in the whole dating/romance department, and I love the long, simple shift dresses women used to wear. Modesty is key.

I'm not sure. Does the future count? I've always wanted to live in a far future, where the Earth has reset itself back to primitive states. One might dig up a fossil and discover a Samsung. One might find the descendant of a pair of housecats, ranged into a wildcat once more.

Of if it's only the past, probably Victorian London. Steampunk though. <3

I would have so belong in the 1920s. In a city somewhere, going out dancing. I just love that style of music and how they dressed. Everything was changing and seemed so new. it would just be perfect.

I don't know the year(s) (because I'm just horrible with time like that) but I would want to live in England while Jack The Ripper was killing people.
Torn between wanting to be in that time period still or the 80s.

Serial Killer or Great music. I can't decide Smiley
Can I just point out that this is still relevant? I still can't decide on which would be more awesome. lmfao

I don't know, I feel like I fit in this time era. I can't picture myself living any other way.

I feel like I should have been born maybe a decade or two earlier. I believe that I would have fitted in so much more with musical and social culture a few decades ago than I do today. A LOT of my favourite bands and artists come from around the 60's to the 80's.

Really though, other than for musical and social reasons, I don't really have an ultimate burning desire to have lived in the past at all. It may not seem like it, but today society in general is much more accepting of things like ethnic origin, homosexuality and gender equality. Go back just a few decades, and those things were much, much worse than they are now. I wouldn't want to live in a time when things were that bad.

Not to mention Thatcherism in the UK in the 80's, as well as the threat of nuclear war. That would have been hell for me. My Gran developed serious anxiety from all of that when she was younger and living in that decade, so I'm not so sure that I'd really want to go through all of that just to be socially and musically accepted. This generation has its flaws, yes, but I'd rather stick with it. Things might improve.

I used to think I wanted to have been born in like, 1981 so that I could enjoy the 80's, but then I don't know. Living through Reagan as a president? No thanks. I don't know, I think I've paid too much attention to history to actually ever want to have been born earlier.

I would love to live in any time period from 1800s to early 1900s. I would also love to know how it was to grow up without all this technology. Don't get me wrong, but I love technology. A life without it would be interesting.

I wish I was born in the 60's so that I could live the 80's to its fullest. It's a decade of political, technological, cultural, and social revolutions. It's a decade of people, decisions, and inventions that changed our future. People worked harder and partied harder!

I totally believe I was born in the wrong decade.

I should have totally been born either in the 1920's or the 1950's- since I was a baby my aunts have always told me I have a "flapper girl" look- dark hair, rosy cheeks, big blue eyes...
