I like the decade I'm currently living in, but I would've loved to be a teenager in the 70's, especially in California (which is where I'm originally from), preferably in San Francisco. :weird I love the music and I adore the fashion. I'm pretty much completely obsessed with anything coming from the 70's, including movies and tv shows. I'm always finding retro clothes to wear in thrift stores. I even want to own a VW bus when I'm older (but I heard they break down a lot). Hell, if I could I'd completely live like a hippie right now. (But less dirty. :XD) I just think that decade was so much fun. My mom was a teen in the 70's, and she's always telling me hilarious stories from all the things she used to do. I completely blame her for my obsession with that decade. :file:

The nineties were the shit, though.

I would've liked to be an 80's kid. I like the style, the music, the trends. I think I'd fit in pretty good in that era. Plus, I'd be older right now if I was born in the 80's, which I could definitely go for at them moment.

    Early 1800's.

I'm totally into their policies, no matter how sexist or restricting they were. Made life a lot easier in some aspects.

Unless you were poor. Oh well, I'd be the daughter of like, Mr Darcy or something.

I remember when I was younger (eleven or twelve or something) I read a series of books that I adored that took place in medieval times in a fantasy land.
I used to cry myself to sleep wishing I had been born in those times with those characters, the only real friends I felt like I had.

Born in '92, but I'd love to be born in like '65-69.
I think that would of been cool, growing up in the 70's & 80's.

edit; PLUS most of the music I listen to is from that era. Soyeah. :|

My mom says that I'm a total 80s punk. She said that I'm more 80s now than she was when she actually lived in the 80s :XD:XD
And my mom's ex who lived in the Bay Area for like 5 years said that if he didn't know any better he'd have assumed I was from there by the music I like, my political stances and the way I talk/words I use.

So I'm assuming that means I should've been in the 80s underground scene in the Bay Area. I'm totally okay with that. :con:

I wish I had been born in the late 50's so I could grow up in the 60's, be an adolescent in the 70's and an adult in the 80's.

I wish I was born in late 70's so that I'll be a teen by 90's. I love the music and T.V. Shows in 90's so I'd pretty much enjoy life by then.. x]

Ahh, well, you see...I cannot really decide. I mean, the time we are in does really seem that it has more pros than cons, I mean, things only seem to be getting worse, but I can see the pros in all times. I mean, technology is good and all, and it's great that most of us have gotten over some of the insane superstitions we used to have, but I kind of wish I had a time machine *Sigh*
I would go to and before the victorian era (Meet the queens and kings and just watch history make itself.), I would live in the 20's and 30's for a while; meet the real gangsters, hang out with the criminals in the swanky days =P I would visit the 50's 60's 70's and 80's. Really, I think I could manage belonging in about every time until the 50's or so, but yet certain things then would probably get me killed unless it was the 20's or so, but yeah, time machine! xD

I don't mind living in the time I currently live, I just wish I was born a couple years earlier. Shifty

If I lived in a different decade, I'd never meet the people I've met and I'd never be where I am. I'd have none of my memories.
I'd be really depressed, to be honest.

I would probably love to be born in the medival ages as a simple girl working day and night with her family then be married off by the age of 15 to someone I never actually liked >.>

No, I would probably be one of those rebel girls who didn't like to be ladylike. Anyway I would find it very fun to have been born then. Or in the 60s and be 20 somewhere in the 80s cause we all know.. The 80s had the best darn music ever!

I would have loved to live anywhere from the late 1800's to the 1950's.

To tell the truth, even though I'd probably flare up eveyronce in awhile, I think I'd prefure it when ladies didn't act so whorish and guys were a bit more gentleman-like.

And just the atmostphere, it would have been beautiful...

Yes. Sometimes I wonder if I should have grown up and lived around the Roaring Twenties. I especially would have loved to grow up around the times of John Dillinger and such-Deperession or not.

I should have lived in those medieval times. That'd be awesome.

I wish I had been born in the Georgian Era around when Marie Antoinette was the Queen of France. The fashion back then is so beautiful. If only you could turn back time just to experience a day!

I believe I was born in the right decade. I can't see myself living in any other time, although it would be fun to go back and live in old decades via time machine, but that would not be good for the whole space-time-continum-thing. xD

I think I would have flourished in the mid-1800s; it was a fascinating time period, and a great time for literature.

I think I also would have flourished in the 1930s-1940s; it's just a romantic time period to me, for some reason, and the fashion, music, and literature is amazing.

But mostly, I think I would have flourished in the 1980s. If I had been born in the late '60s, I would have been suited for the '80s. ^.^

I suppose I really should have been born in the late 60's so I was alive for the 70's.

But im pretty happy with being a 90's kid.

I like being from the 1990's, but I think being born around 1905, then being a young adult/teenager in the roaring 20's would have been so me. I'm a bit of a rebel tehe

    Born on the Cob:
1900-1920's. Yes... It would be worth living through the Great Depression, polio, and both World Wars if I could've been born then! -swoons-

    Or maybe even 1930-1940...
I hope you do know the great depression was in the 1930's.
And that 1900-1920 was a constant fight, then war of which country was the best, hens WW1.
    Don't forget the spanish influenza.
