    Couldn't find a similar thread. :)

Okay so once in every while we see a film which really strikes us; one that really makes us think. Sometimes they even make us see life in a completely mew perspective. It's the ones that really shake the foundations of the way we think which are extra special.

The method is - Film name, main character and background story, reason for choosing it.

I'll go first, Vanilla sky, Tom cruise stars as a man who has everything but experiences a series of incidents which quickly push him to the brink of suicide, where things really begin to turn eerily perfect and love is made apparent.
This film really did change my life, the ending is mind-blowing and inspirational.

The Wind That Shakes the Barley.

It pretty much made me viciously patriotic, all over again.

Seriously, Mike Myers is my hero and those were the first movies I really saw him in...And he inspired me to write my sitcom which has 37 episodes and has taken years...

It was my escape through tough times, and inspired me a lot.
As for character it's without a doubt Sam. He's a lot like me, and I can relate to him and his emotions.

Its about growing up with a severely autistic sibling.
I cried so much and it just gave me a completely different outlook on life.
    Everyone should see it.

    The Butterfly Effect.
I couldn't explain what it was about it, but after I watched it I was really thoughtful.
It definitely had some sort ofbutterfly effect on me.

Also the first Harry Potter film.
Well, all of them really, but especially the first.
I can watch it over and over and I never get sick of it, and it gives me a sense of belonging that I've never found anywhere else ever. Just the music makes my heart flutter. The books were the first thing I was ever truly passionate about, so the film adaption honestly made me feel like all my dreams were coming true. It reinforced the world that I so desperately believed in.
