Your Username.

A simple, subtle word. I just like it. It doesn't mean anything, I'm not a very warm person.

My name Lina is short for Amalina which means Hope and my real life friends call me Amal which basically means Charity. Hence... the username was born.

On a weekend I was spending at my sisters house, I was obsessing over the Imagine Dragons song Demons whenever I got a chance. And the chorus goes “When you feel my heat, look into my eyes, it's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide. Don't get too close, it's dark inside. It's where my demons hide, it's where my demons hide” you get the point. And personally I thought that was just a brilliant line that felt really close to. So wha-la! There's my username. *cough cough* also any other accounts I'd set up on other websites that day, had similiar usernames...

Too lazy to check how long ago, but I knew I wanted a new username. For a very long time, I used variations of a couple different ones, but I wanted something special. I wanted it to be unique and memorable, so I kind of racked my brain for something cool sounding. I also sort of wanted it to be an oxymoron. CallusedSilk was what I chose. Although I did debate between CallousedSilk and CallusedSilk. Both are correct spellings, but I decided that I preferred 'callused' over 'calloused' after I looked at the words and realized that 'callused' looks like it can be split up into 'call used'. Ta da!

I feel so out of place, everyone has amazing usernames and interesting stories behind them! I've kind of killed that.

So um, Kylie Minogue has a cute fandom. Fans that identify as a woman are called 'golden girls' and the guys are called 'cupid boys'. All together we are are the 'lovers'

Smiling Scarlet (not only is it a cheesy sidekick name) was created because of a Joker fic I made a long time ago. She's also an alter ego. Kind of like Slim Shady to Eminem. Or Roman to Niki Minaj.

It's a map by Vechs. One of the only ones I haven't seen pictures of, to be honest.
I've been alternating Super Hostile names recently. I'll probably be lethamyr or endless deep eventually.

I changed it when I was going through my Madina Lake phase, so it's primarily a reference to their first single. I think everyone feels that there's a massive long-winded reason behind it but nope. Reference to a song.

Green Day, nuff said, haha. But "Whatsername" is my all time favorite song by them, and I thought adding the name to another one of my fave jams by them would be a good combo, and it was, thus, RedundantWhatsername was born

Long story short, I have a skin condition on my arms commonly known as "chicken skin." For a really, reeeeaaally long time I felt absolutely repulsive because of it and I would never wear short sleeve shirts or tank tops or anything. One day, googling remedies for it, I found out some people called it "strawberry legs" instead. Immediately the negative connotation I had with the condition was gone so my username is embracing something I once hated about myself and turning it into something adorable.

It's part of the band title of one of my favourite bands at the moment, I Prevail

Although I do plan to change it soon, valentines is a play on Valentine by 5 Seconds of Summer

Just a k pop guy I find cute

A character from a book I used to reread a lot when I was younger. “Summer Sisters” by Judy Blume. I wouldn’t say the character I chose my username after is my favorite, but I liked how beautiful the name Victoria is and how her nickname in the book was “Vix”. So Victoria Lenoard was too long. So I shortened it to VixL.
