Types of Characters That Annoy You

Talk about the types of characters that rub you the wrong way and just get under your skin.

For me its the characters who can do no wrong. They can overrule anything any other character does and get exactly what they want. And when something comes their way, they always know exactly what to do or they always take control despite the fact that there might be other, more qualified people in the story. Then of course every single time, everything works exactly right for them.

Whiny, two dimensional female characters. That is all.

Characters that are way too nice. So nice, it's irritating.

^Yeah, I'd have to agree with you. No one is too nice in real life. Even the people we think are too nice...

The resident 'mean person' who does nothing but insults, teases, and makes fun of the main character. Completely 1 dimensional.

Most female characters. Even if both a boy and girl have the same personality, I'll still probably like the boy more :| Like... If a boy is sarcastic it strikes me more as "Oh, he just has a dry sense of humor!" but if a girl is sarcastic I can't help but think "Bitch just shut up...". I don't know why. I just hate vaginas. XD

Those characters who are so nice and they always seem to smile. :shock:
They are unnatural and probably the creepiest thing in some stories.

Not to mention those characters who seem so perfect and they can do anything and not be killed. They annoy me because they are so obvious about it as well. Or the exact opposite where they can do no good and are always in the wrong. They can do no right and they tend to fit into a category that is frowned upon by many.

The cliche bitch that tries to steal the main character's love interest/boyfriend. They're always merch girls on tour with another band, and they're always slutty, whereas the main character is always lovely and nice, and the bitch always does wrong to them and never the other way round.

Annoys me no end.

Female characters. They're just annoying without even doing anything :lmfao
I guess because I prefer slash, it makes all females evil, even if they don't actually want to steal the either of the guys.

Edit: I do like female characters if it is femmeslash, though.

I hate it when the girl can do no wrong like when its cheating its always the guy who cheats.

I can't say I hate female characters because I have a few that I really like.

I do hate overly angsty characters. I can only take so much bundled up hate before it gets boring.

Hackneyed characters in general.

the guy who sits around doing nothing or bitching the whole story
and then someone comes up to them to try to kill or fight them or whatever
and all of a sudden he's got a freaking mashette.
they bug the crap out of me.

that and the girl who should've died
every other chapter.
or is always getting kidnapped
but never hurt

NOT EVERY GIRL HAS TO HAVE DYED BLACK HAIR AND PURPLE FRIGGIN EYES!
And just putting this out there for those writing fiction where the band members are in high school, IPODS DIDN'T FUCKING EXIST!

immature is cute to a point then it just gets annoying

I hate female characters that are supposed to look like a total bombshell and they act like they know it, so they dress and act real seductive and just... mean most of the time. I understand if it's necessary for the plot, but it just gets old.

I just hate stereotypes from high school movies used in fanfictions. I prefer the characters to not have a description of their appearance and to be able to imagine what the character may look like for yourself. I also hate characters that are clearly scene kids and think highly of themselves but then go on to this low self-esteem rant when they know damn well they think the complete opposite.
