But it kind of stills gives the feeling that they depend on the prince, you know? Cinderella was strongwilled, but she was the weakest out of the three women on the book, always accepting the orders and just rebeling when the prince came along.
- druscilla feels.:
I don't think all of them are damsels in distress.
- horror show:
- Blame that to all the classic tales that Disney animates. The whole princess thing and damsel in distress is so overused and it gets boring. Also, it's very unrealistic.
Cinderella is very strong-willed and definitely a heroine.
Belle gave up a lot of things and struggled a lot and she was actually the one who ended up saving the prince.
And in "The Little Mermaid" he saves her, but she saves him just as much.
The Little Mermaid, she gave up everything for the prince, and it's still kind of depending on him, an on the actual book she dies because she couldn't kill him.
However you put it the characters are quite weak in my opinion and it gives the feeling like without the prince, they wouldn't do much.
Belle, on the other hand, is one of the exceptions that I love.
