Okay, so I've seen quite a few of these 'request' topics but not one for movies, which I think is strange because it could be beneficial. So basically if there are any genre/plot requests here's the place to make 'em. :XD

Much like the 'request a book' thread, it would be useful to include as much detail as possible on what kind of movie you're looking for. Specific actors/actresses, genres and time periods would be helpful information.

This is actually a really good idea.
Imma be the first to request. :con:
I'd like a realistic movie on anorexia/bulimia, or institutions? Preferably set in modern day. Thanks. :cute:

Ok, I know a few that are from the 90's, i don't know if that's a little too old fashioned for you :tehe: But here they are:

    Perfect body
    A secret between friends
    For the love of Nancy

Some more recent ones are 'sharing the secret' from 2000, and 'Maybe' from 2003.

These are all about eating disorders by the way :cute:

Run fatboy Run was [I think] written by Simon Pegg who also wrote the Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the dead and I know it was pretty successful so perhaps it'll be worth checking out. :D

    I have that one. :tehe:
It was more rom-com for me (when compared to the other two at least) but thanks for the suggestion.

    Hm, a decent horror film.
I love scary movies, but I've never seen a really great one.
Most scary movies now are so predictable and, well, not scary. ><

Thanks! I've never heard of that movie before. I'll see if I can find it. :arms:

While I'm here, movies that'll make me cry? Not necessarily romances.

A romance that'll make you cry is The Notebook and a comedy is Marley and Me.

The Cave was good. :weird And Frontiers (it's like...Hostel meets Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but in French). Wicked Little Things was cool, too.

The Shining and The Ring are really good.
You should watch The Orphanage too. It's a Spanish movie, so you'll have to read subtitles if you don't speak Spanish, but this is a very good movie.

You should try American History X, I watched it a couple of days ago it's so good; it's not romance or comedy it's just a pure story based movie. Also, try brokeback mountain,
    fox and the hound,
    Titanic [obviously],
    Boy A,
    saving private Ryan,
    king kong,
    Edward scissor hands
    The lion king :shifty,
    the Pianist.

if you want anymore let me know, i have so many that made me cry :tehe: but keep in mind i cry in every single movie. :lmfao.

(I almost cried in Star Wars. :tehe:)

Thanks both of you. :arms: I've seen some of those, but I'm probably going to rewatch them as well as watch the others I haven't seen (and I want to watch The Lion King 2 now - poor Kovu).

By the way, is The Pianist the movie where someone has an affair with their piano teacher?
And if you have any more, that'd be awesome. :XD

How about See No Evil, Halloween (The remake by Rob Zombie), One Last Call, and Pulse.

One Last Call is the only one that didn't really scare me, but it made me think. The other three scared the crap out of me. And it takes a lot to scare me.
