Okay, so my hobby is dancing. I can't live without it for one day. Unfortuanately I danced too hard and popped my knee and today I am getting it fixed. But am I the only dancer here? Just kidding. I know you are out there. Show yourselves! Share your favorite dance songs, your dance stories, and maybe even dance moves.

I've been taking dance classes for 11 years when the next dance season starts up (September).
And I've been dancing on a competitve team for 7 years (again whent he next dance season starts up).
I've had a solo since I was in grade 8. One jazz solo, and 2 musical theatre (dance & lip sync) solos. And this year I'm doing anyother musical theatre solo to 'Razzle Dazzle' from Chicago.

I can't even explain why I love dancing.

I used to do ballroom dancing when I was younger, and done a few dance classes that were held at my primary school but now I tend to just stick the music channel on and dance along to whatevers on! I sometimes wish I had stuck at ballroom because wearing the dresses and doing competitions was so much fun, but I still remember a few moves which is good. (:

I tap dance. I've been dancing for about seven or eight years. I don't do any competitive dancing; I just take part in the annual recital with my class.

I never learned how to dance, my mom never got lessons so I was only taught the few things she knew, but I really love to dance. I hate that I don't know how so I feel stupid when I do. But I plan on getting dance lessons because I've always wanted to know how, I want to be as close to professional as possible and I want to know pretty much every dance =P

For the last 2 years i've taken hip-hop classes and learned some booty moves (haha!) and so this year I got to go to a rave and it was....different. I was so...whats the word...well, I always had to dance to rap and hip-hop, but found out techno is a lot more fun then hip-hop.

I love the song pretty rave girl, sandstorm, and extacy. Dance

    I do hip hop dancing.
The song my teacher always uses is this sick remix of Outta Control by 50 Cent. And it's actually really good.

    Ah, where do I start.

I was brought up around this stuff, my cousins all danced, my sister was part of a professional dance troup, my mom took dance classes when she was young and a lot of my uncles and aunts dance/sing. So I joined hip hop when I was young, and was quite good, but oddly, the lessons just ended somehow. I never gave up though, my sister always worked with me and still does, with both contemporary and hip hop. I've learned a little bit of krump on my own as well.

Edit: And I'm so sorry to hear about your knee.

Actually, once, when I was around 10 I tore my hamstring muscles by doing hurtles and couldn't break dance after that. I couldn't dance, period. I'm still recovering three years later.

I did ballet when I was three till I was eight.
Tap when I was four to eight.
Jazz for a year or two in there.
Irish Dance from when I was five till I was I thirteen.

I was never like amazing at any dance. I was just average. I was like a really fat little kid and I was clumsy. Now I'm just uncoordinated. I'm in theater so there is a lot of dancing. As long as they show me step-by-step what I'm supposed to do, then I can do it without falling on my face.

I kind of wish I could take a class or two again because it would give me an edge in theater, but I don't have the money or the time.
