I love to write but I don't take myself too seriously.
One day, after taking English based courses at University I would love to become a published author but that day is probably a long way off.

The only reason I'm on this site is for writing
I do it far too much, but I need some way to get my imagination out
I hope to either get a book published or create an anime series with my idea's =D

I actually joined this because one of my English teachers said having peers read your non-school related writing, it helps you learn more than getting graded.

^ I does. I've definitely noticed myself improving, and a lot more than I ever did in school.

I enjoy writing, but I just can't write things for school because most of it's so unintersting and allows you NO creativity whatsoever which I think is ridiculous. You can tell just how well someone writes if you let them write freely.

    EXACTLY. EXACTLY.
School pretty much sucks the creativity out of everything.

^^ Agreed with that as well. It's like how when you watch a movie for a project, it often isn't as good as it would be if you were watching it on your own.

Ever since I've joined Mibba, my writing has improved dramatically. That's one of the main reasons why I love this site. :cheese:

    ^ Yeah, me too.

I think it's because the writing isn't perfect on Mibba. It's like watching college sports as opposed to the pro leagues. Reading stories on Mibba is imperfect, we don't have editors or anything. Books are like the pro leagues. And if you're an athlete, watching the pros doesn't really do anything for you, it's watching the less than perfect league that makes you better. You can see the mistakes, and it helps you fix your own mistakes.

I don't write as much as I used to. :file: I used to be able to have three or four stories at once and do little planning plot wise and just have it flow out of me and be able to get pages and pages in a few hours. True, they all sucked, but still. Now I'm having touble getting started on a one-shot and am still outlining.

Mibba defianately has improved my writing in how a while ago I would just keep my stories in my computer and not let anybody read them. Now, I'm actually letting people read them and I want them to be good so I take more time on them and I think them out a lot more and develop characters.
It also kicked my grammar's ass. :XD I corrected my English teacher today.

    Agreed.
That's what I miss most about elementary school. Creative writing. We didn't have any regulations and it was just fun.

But obviously writing got me here on mibba and my undying love for it. I write a lot, and I still love to write things out rather than type.

Ah, that was so great. They'd just be like "write a story." And you could write about anything. :cheese:
    I miss that. In Love

^ In second grade, I wrote a fifteen page story about my childhood. :tehe: We had free writing for half an hour or so, and I just used to go to town.

I've been writing for as long as I can remember. Once, I set out to copy Stephen King's The Shining in its entirety... I was about eight years old.

I write everyday in some way or another. I've sort of lost my talent and passion for manually writing. Typing is much better for me.
If I didn't write, I'd probably die. There's a lot in my head and I need to get it out.

I can't write manually because my hand aches after about an hour (it nearly died in my 1.5 hour English exam), and it takes so long. By time I've written one sentence, I've forgotten the next because my mind is already 5 sentences ahead.

Same. I never write by hand, I end up loosing half the chapter because my hand can't keep up with my thoughts. It's irritating. Especially since it's summer and I haven't been taking notes or writing rapidly. My hand is out of shape. :tehe:

I hope to become a published writer one day, it's more of a dream than reality, but god I hope it happens.

I've been writing ever since I could and I've kept everything I written. Some of the things are so atrocious that I just want to slap myself, but I think I've gotten okay at it. I don't think I am the best author in the world and I sure as heck am never gonna get published.

I love writing! I've been doing it since I was like ten or nine years old, with poetry.. then I starte stories. I tried to write a novel but it wasn't very well written.
